Glen Park House Rental Photos and Description
A small, beautiful house & garden in great neighborhood.
Looking to rent for entire month June, but would be willing to consider 2 or 3 week stay.
Beautifully decorated and charming home...small but cozy and comfortable for 1-2 persons. About 600 sq feet.
It has a lovely, sunny and private garden filled with trees, shrubs and flowers and great for entertaining, reading or napping. The garden is right out the back door of the living quarters, on the same level. A one-car garage for parking and washer/dryer and storage space.
Each of the rooms is small. The bedroom is tiny - only 10'x10' with a closet and cabinets built into it. The bed can only be gotten into and out of from one side. It's like a cozy sleeping den.
Kitchen is equipped with excellent quality appliances and completely outfitted for cooking.
The house is ideally situated only 4 blocks from the B.A.R.T. station (Bay Area Rapid Transit), with underground train service to downtown (4 stops and 10 minutes) to Union Square/Westfield Shopping Center, MOMA, etc.), to the East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley and beyond) and to SFO airport (20 minutes). It is also only a few blocks to MUNI busses and train; including the 44 bus, which goes to Golden Gate Park and the museums there.
The house is about 6 blocks from the freeway (Highway 280) on/off ramps; highway 280 connects with Highway 101 and the two offer automobile access to the entire city and Bay Area.
The house is located only 3 blocks from a great variety of shops and eateries, many well-known destinations for people coming from outside the neighborhood. These include an excellent grocery store with lots of organic produce, great products, an onsite bakery, fish and meat market and wonderful prepared foods. There is also a great local bookstore, dry cleaners, mail/shipping supply store, local branch of the public library, a great bakery café, hardware store and pet store. Neighborhood restaurants include gourmet pizza shop, Gialina, Osha Thai Café, Tataki sushi, Le P’tit Laurent French bistro, China House, La Corneta Tacqueria, Manzoni Ristorante (Italian), plus yogurt shop and cafes.
And the house is also just 3 blocks from Glen Canyon Park, one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the city; with hiking trails, lots of flowers and fauna, tennis courts, children’s play area, and baseball fields.
A small, well-trained dog would be ok, but no cats, please...I'm highly allergic to them.
Free Netflix streaming available.
No smoking please.
- not suitable for children
- non smoking only
- wheelchair inaccessible

About Bruce Katz
I'm a painter - outdoor 'plein air' landscape and studio - living in San Francisco for 35 years and in the wonderful Glen Park neighborhood for the past 26 years, when I bought my house here. In addition to painting, I enjoy gardening and the pleasures of having a garden. I'm also a reader and traveler. Traveling around our beautiful state of California and painting the landscape is high on my list. I'm also a lifelong lover of Italy and try to get there as often as possible.
My motto: Audentes fortuna juvat! Fortune favors the bold!
Bruce Katz purchased this house in 1988
Why Bruce Katz chose Glen Park
I live here, but travel sometimes to paint and see the world.
What makes this house unique
The location is #1...it couldn't be better! The house is charming and the garden will be your own private park.
