Overview

Sare Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Peaceful holiday

Located in the heart of the Basque Country and in a village (one of the 130 most beautiful villages in France), this apartment of 2 new rooms in a typical Basque villa you will be amazed.

2 stars, the apartment is located in a green setting, surrounded by the chain of mountains and Basques under an azure sky.

The small village of Sare offers a pediment (Basque Basque pelota Wall receiving), tennis courts, swimming pool, numerous mountain walks, horse riding, prehistoric caves and visiting the small train of Rhune to the top to find a splendid panoramic view of 360 degrees between sea and mountains.

Ideally located, you will be close to the beaches and at the foot of the mountains to the border with Spain, but also close to the average displacement such as Biarritz Anglet Bayonne Airport (BIQ) and SCNCF station of Saint Jean de Luz .

Bonus: apartment equipped for baby (bed, bath, high chair)

The little train of Rhune Sare: Since 1924, the small train of Rhune climbs in 35 minutes to the top of the Rhune to 905 meters.

This site is the first visit to the Basque Country and placed within 6 minutes of your apartment.

This climb offers an extraordinary spectacle below, travelers can admire the Atlantic Ocean and around other Pyrenean mountains.

The train is a cog railway, that it can overcome slopes inclined with a toothed wheel which fits into a special third rail.

In addition to belonging to only three representatives of this technique still in operation in France, the little train of Rhune still use the original material. It offers a dizzying ride, at a pace that leaves you time to appreciate the richness of the landscape.

Prehistoric caves of the village of Sare: Open year round, the Sare Caves offer a spectacular and moving visit to the heart of the Massif de la Rhune, the mythical mountain Basque ...

a journey where you will discover some secrets of mythology and origins of the Basque people!

The third most visited site in the Basque Country, the Sare Caves offer 1-hour guided tour in sound and light while being placed within 11 minutes of your apartment.

Along a special trail 3 topics will be addressed:

* Atypical geology of a rather dry cave;

* A prehistoric habitat;

* Origins and mythology of the Basque people according to anthropologist José-Miguel de Barandiaran.

Open access, you will discover one hand our site museum which traces the evolution of man from prehistoric times to the present day and also the megalithic park that evokes the megaliths in the Basque Country.

The cuisine of the Basque Country with traditional agriculture made of small farms, an exceptional climate and geography, the Basque Country has a wide range of local products (cheese, lamb, peppers, wine, ham, fish cakes. ..) However, Gascon and Béarnaise influences are felt on the side of France and in the south we find Spanish influences with olive oil, tomatoes and peppers, and the use of the grill.

All popular festivals and gatherings are pretexts for cooking competitions between neighborhoods, towns, cities, gastronomic societies or friends. Thus tapas and pintxos (traditional real miniature dishes) developed in border bars

Colorful, tasty and sparkling Basque cuisine is like Fandango. Let yourself be captivated, enjoy our recipes: Piperade, Axoa, foie gras, Bayonne ham, appetizers and tapas wine ... ideas to live with family and has

Guestbook comments from the owner

  • 5 of 5
Etc....etc....
