Semi detached gite, equipped with satellite tv, video and dvd player, towels and linen supplied free of charge. Our grounds are large and peaceful, and surrounded by trees and fields, you are welcome to make use of all the grounds and the barbecue for those al-fresco evenings, there is a large solar heate, above ground swimming pool, and a hot tub spa, all in their own secluded sun bathing area which is ideal for naturists. We like our guests to feel that they are encompassed in a relaxing, freindly atmosphere, ideal for that break away, where you can do as much or as little as you like. We have named our property 'Tranquility' as we feel this perfectly reflects the easygoing, peaceful nature of your stay here, We are at hand to give you any help or information we can, to make your holiday as relaxing as possible.

The gite is situated in idyllic rural frech countryside of the loire valley, just ashort distance from our local village of Sion Les Mines, and only twenty minutes from the beautiful Chateaubriant full of historical places, and ideal for shopping, bars and restaurants. There are many beautiful spots within very close proximity offering sites of natural beauty and history. We have the very picturesque Moulin du Pont (wheat grinding water mill) just a few minutes away, as well as places such as the majestic Forges de Hunaudiere, the ruins which are plainly visible, and one of many large fishing lakes within the area. There are picniking areas, and small ancient churches. The area is steeped in history, with monuments to the resistance in abundance, you will never be short of places to visit, also Redon is a beautiful place to visit where you can have trips on the riverboat in summer, also a very enjoyable experience

Cosy Couple or Family Holiday

Our second visit to this gite, and we loved it just as much as last time. Last time we had peace and quiet cosy nights and this time the large secure grounds were perfect for our new addition to toddle around in, while giving us a relaxing holiday. The surrounding area has lots to offer, and the gite is a great base with everything you need for your holiday. We will definatly be returning with our next addition for another tranquil family holiday.

Peace and quiet in rural France

The description of the property is spot on. The gite is ceetainly homely and has all the ammenities that you need. It was clean and well maintained having largely only been converted in the last few years. The grounds are large, the pool warm and overlook fields of maize! The owners chickens and goats will provide much entertainment for younger children. Val and Terry the owners are lovely people, attentive whilst letting you get on with enjoying your holiday their whole concern is for you to enjoy your time in their gite.
The nearest village is small and friendly with a small supermarket, 2 bakeries and a bar/tabac. It is easily walkable and took us about 45 minutes at a leisurely stroll! Chateaubriant is the nearest town which has plenty of supermarkets shops and restaurants as well as a beautiful chateau!
I would absolutely recommend this gite if you want a quiet relaxing holiday in the country, it would also provide and ideal base from which to explore the area by bike! we will go back!
