Relax in comfort this winter in our 2 Level Loft Room. Unwind in a hot jacuzzi bath, curl up by the gas fireplace with a glass of wine, or snuggle up in the King Sized Bed. A full hot breakfast for 2 each morning is included in you rate. Flat screen cable TV, wireless internet and parking are all complimentary (please confirm parking is available at the time of booking).

Our location cannot be beat! Walk just 1 block to get to Stanley Park and 1 block to get to English Bay (Water, Beach and the Sea Wall). Robson Street, Davie Street & Denman Street are all just a short walk away (restaurants, shopping, coffee shops).

For those that want to be outdoors, but away from the public for some down time, relax in our large, comfortable back Courtyard.

Parking is complimentary, though we have a limited number of spaces available, so please inquire prior to booking if you do require a parking space.

One of the unique benefits of staying at a B&B is breakfast service, allowing you to save the time of finding a breakfast spot and the money of paying for breakfast each morning while starting your day off with a full stomach. We are well known for our breakfasts, which are included in your room rate. Breakfasts are full, hot breakfasts and our host/cook can accommodate special dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten free). Please make sure to note any special dietary needs or food allergies at the time of booking.

The room itself is located in the English Bay Inn B&B. We have 5 Rooms in total, plus a 6th room which is a full apartment with 2 Queen Beds & a full kitchen.

If you have never stayed at a B&B before, the English Bay Inn is a great place to start. Private rooms with full en suite baths, great breakfasts and great location! Our off season rates make this a great value and may just change the way you choose to travel in the future!

Shared areas within the Inn are the Living Room, The Dining Room and the outdoor spaces, all great places to meet other travelers during your stay.

About Alberto & Jacy

The English bay Inn has been serving travellers as a Bed & Breakfast style in for almost 20 years.years. We have an exceptional reputation and strive to give guests the best possible experience.

Your host will be Alberto. Alberto, originally from Southern Mexico, has lived in Vancouver for 20 years. He has previously worked as a chef and in the banking industry. He loves to cook and takes pride in his daily breakfast service at the Inn.

Lovely, Enjoyable Place to Stay

This inn is a very enjoyable B&B type establishment (and not to be confused with the very different English Bay Hotel that’s located on Denman Street). This inn’s location on Comox Street is perfect. It’s on a pleasantly quiet street, but only 2 blocks from busy Denman Street with its plethora of restaurants and shops and it’s only a 2-3 minute walk to Stanley Park or the Seawall.
The inn itself is clean and nicely decorated with an elegant English flair, especially the dining room with its decked out dining table. You won’t want miss out on Alberto’s breakfasts. They were incredibly yummy and of 5 star restaurant quality. Our room was delightful. We booked the 2-level. The upstairs has the king size bed, bathroom and a very cozy, romantic sitting area with a gas fireplace. Downstairs is a comfy sitting room.
Jacy was very patient with our ever changing arrival dates and times and helpful in answering our questions about Vancouver. Alberto was very pleasant and accommodating- taking care of our daily requests and needs. Even though we failed to notify Jacy in advance that we had a car, Alberto was able to secure parking for us in the back of the inn at the last minute.
I would recommend the English Bay Inn to anyone- especially if they enjoy the B&B type lodging experience.

Best of everything!!

This was our first visit to Vancouver, so randomly finding this B&B was truly our good fortune!! Accommodations were top notch! Location is fantastic. Just as described. In a friendly upscale neighborhood, within walking distance of all that we wanted to do. No car needed. Less than 7-10 min bus ride to downtown. The best part of our trip was the incredible gourmet breakfast & service provided by Alberto! He is an excellent chef and concierge. Always eager to offer recommendations, directions, and even made reservations for us. In 4 days we saw & did a lot. Rented bikes to ride thru Stanley Park & along the Sea Wall--(a must do!). We don't usually do the "touristy" things, but glad we didn't miss Capilano Suspension Bridge, Granville Island, and the LookOut Tower downtown. My husband & I will definitely be back. We still have to see Victoria!

Absolutely The Best in Vancouver

Perfect getaway for us at this marvellous Inn in downtown Vancouver. Our room was clean and comfortable with a cozy fireplace. Furnishings were traditional and classic. Dinning room reminded us of the one shown in Downton Abbey. Location and Service was excellent. The 3 course breakfasts were amazing, surpass any 5 stars hotel anywhere. We did not even need lunch! Alberto not only a great chef but very helpful and friendly. The Inn is exactly as shown on their website. Will definitely go back.

Staying West of Denman is an ideal spot for visitors to Vancouver as it allows you all of the conveniences of being downtown while providing a quiet, peaceful place to unwind when you head home after a long day of touring the city.

Head 1 block West for English Bay and The Seawall. Bask in the sun at English Bay Beach, Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of a tree, take in a beautiful sunset over the water, or take a walk, run, bike ride, or roller blade around the 22km Seawall.

Head 1 block to the North and step out of the city and directly into world famous Stanley Park to explore some of the 400 hectares of West Coast Natural Rainforest. Walk, jog or bike any of the several kilometers of trails that wind through the park, take in a quick round of golf at the 18 hole, 3 par Stanley Park Pitch and Putt Golf Course, take a swim at the outdoor 2nd Beach pool, check out the local marine life at Vancouver Aquarium, or explore the beaches, historical points of interest, exceptional views over the water from several different vantage points and much much more. A day in Stanley Park makes it very easy to forget you are in the downtown of a major West Coast city!

3 blocks to the South will bring you to Denman Street, which connects English Bay to Coal Harbour. Denman Street has plenty of great restaurants and shops, as well as a large community rec centre for those that need access to a gym during their stay.

From Denman, walk to Robson Street (world class shopping and restaurants), Davie Street (home base for Vancouver's Gay and Lesbian community), Yaletown (trendy area of mostly converted heritage buildings - some of the cities best shops and restaurants are in this area) and Granville Street (Vancouver's primary entertainment district).

Other attractions within walking distance of the Inn include Granville Island, Gastown (though this is a bit of a longer walk - some may prefer to take a taxi when visiting Gastown), Coal Harbour & Ferries to the North Shore.
