The Owner purchased this house in 2004
This is my Hilo home, which I purchased from my uncle when he moved to the mainland. It is on the property that my grandfather brought up his family, which was originally on one acre. My uncle built this house in the 50's and it now sits on 1/4 acre of the original property of my ancestors.
Renters have found that this home is located at a convenient place for them to visit relatives (or entertain them here), work on projects they come to Hilo to perform, and close to marketing, shopping, and places they want to visit around Hilo. They have commented on how open and lighted it is inside the house and enjoy the patio for relaxing and entertaining. They appreciate having the 3 bathrooms, the fully equipped kitchen and the cleanliness and upkeep.
The house is not directly on the street but backs up on the Waiakea High School playing field which is expansive and well maintained and neat - so it is quiet in the back of the house.
Our group just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to rent your Kinoole Street house. WE LOVED IT! The location was perfect and it was so large and spacious that we never felt crowded. We couldn’t believe how well stocked and comfortable it was. It had a rice cooker and all the blankets we could use, plus utensils, kitchenware, etc.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house that is right in the heart of Hilo. We were amazed at how quiet it was because we were just a few minutes from downtown on a fairly busy street. Amazed that we didn't need the air conditioning, open windows provided wonderful cross breeze. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is the best stocked kitchen we have seen to date. Absolutely everything we needed was at our finger tips. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. We would like to see just a few more soaps and paper products supplied, otherwise it was perfect. Any questions or issues were addressed right away. would recommend this house to everyone and will most likely try to rent it again on our next trek to the Big Island.
This house was perfect for my team. We LOVED everything about the house and totally enjoyed our stay here...(SORRY FOR THE LATE POST) But we are starting to plan our stay in Hilo again for next year's Haili Volleyball Tournament and we are certainly considering staying here again! Everything was as advertised on the page and in pictures. We had the best time staying home and cooking and just bonding with one another. It was more than comfortable for the 8 of us! AWESOME PLACE...I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy home away from home centrally located in Hilo! Mahalo Linda and Edna!
Mahalo for the excellent accommodations. It was convenient to the Stake Center and provided all we needed to care for and house our granddaughters. The location was made it easy to travel to various appointments in Hilo town.
We had a lovely stay in Hilo. The house was as described and had many amenities that made it feel like home. Peaceful residential neighborhood with easy access to town. Would definitely stay again.
Where do I start? Excellent location, everything you could ask for. So spacious and the flow of the house was very thoughtful. All the comforts of home you could ask for. The property Owner and manager were easy to work with too. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home. It was very easy to get access to nearby stores. The home itself was wonderful with very spacious living areas. It was very clean and was home away from home. My kids had a wonderful time as well, and loved every moment of the week we spent in your home. I would recommend this home to anyone who needs a nice quiet and convenient place to stay in Hilo, especially if you travel with your family. Mahalo.
