About Suzan fisk

Stephen was brought up in the Oneonta, NY area. He was employed for 20+ years by the D&H Railroad, then CP Rail. He is now a rail executive with Fingerlakes Rail and a rail consultant.

Suzan was raised in Northern NJ, taught art for 30 years in upstate NY. In retirement I now do volunteer work, manage our properties and am a docent at The Hyde Collection.

Suzan fisk purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Suzan fisk chose Lake Luzerne

I spent every summer here at Efner Lake. My parents purchased our cabin when I was a child. Our cabin is our summer home. Stephen & I purchased the new property as an investment.

What makes this cabin unique

This property offers a quiet, beautiful place to relax and enjoy Adirondacks. It's the best of both worlds: Varied activities within a 30 minute or less drive, but you return to the peace, the incredible air and water of the cabin site.

The cabin itself has been described by previous guests as 'Adirondack chic'. The knotty pine paneling decorated with original paintings is cozy. There is plenty of space, both inside and outside for gathering the family or group together or going your own way for a walk, a swim, a nap or whatever makes you relaxed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at The Little Camp! Everything we needed to cook a huge feast and such a comfortable place to enjoy cold weather and woods. Our two dogs LOVED their stay too!

Thank you!

Lovely "Little Camp"

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay in this simple but well appointed home. The lake location is beautiful and we appreciated the use of the kayaks and outdoor gear. It was a great place for our family to be together as we celebrated the graduation of our daughter from Skidmore College in nearby Saratoga Springs. Cocktails on the screened porch and late night chatting up in the living room over games and coffee provided the opportunity for us to catch up and make new memories together. The owners are very conscientious about the needs of the guests and provide basically everything you need for a relaxed stay.

Great place and vacation

  • 5 of 5

I was blessed to find this place in short notice as we were planning a trip to NY to visit family and meet my niece/godchild! Suzan was so sweet and professional and welcomed us with pastries and a tour and it was so much more then I could have asked for. The cabin was clean beautiful and peaceful and fully loaded with all amenities and appliances we needed for a week with my husband and I and two dogs from Nebraska to enjoy and make memories in a week with our family. Thank you so much for sharing your pride and joy and welcoming all of us. Several memories were made and never forgotten. We will be back!!!!

Winter Wonderland - Excellent Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is fantastic! It's surrounded by woods, but only about 100 feet away from a private lake. It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay, very quiet. The cabin itself is beautiful - cozy and warm. Plenty of bed space (3 double beds and 1 queen bed), plus a full couch. The cabin really has everything you could think of. All we needed to bring was food for meals. There was even basic cooking/baking ingredients. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They met the first person to arrive and then called us the following day to make sure everything was going okay. I felt perfectly comfortable reaching out to them with any questions and Suzan was always very quick to respond to emails both before and after our stay. We had such a wonderful time. We all wished that we could have stayed for more than a weekend. I highly recommend this cabin! You will not be disappointed. Also, the jacuzzi tub is a must-try!

Awesome Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The house was very well stocked and had everything you needed. We came as a group from NYC, wanting a quiet getaway in the Adirondacks and it was perfect. The owners checked in to make sure everything was perfect and met us initially to show us around. Great service! We will try and come next year too.

Perfect weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for us! The house is stocked with everything you could possibly ever need and very clean! The owner is so sweet, she greeted us with a box of pastries gave us a tour of the property and house and was only a phone call away if we had any questions! We will definitely be returning for a week this fall!

Perfect winter getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place to experience NY state's beautiful, rustic wilderness with all the comforts of home. The property (the lake, the yard, the creek out back) was picturesque. The cabin looked/felt brand new with all the amenities of home (wifi/cable/blu Ray player/jacuzzi tub). Just the right mix of seclusion and connectedness to have a wonderful time. Saratoga was only 30 min away and offered a great downtown area to walk around. My only wish was that my wife and took more time off to enjoy it. We will definitely return.

'The Little Camp' is located on a small, private lake. There is no public access to the lake; only owners and guests. There are only 25 - 30 cabins on the entire lake. Here guests will enjoy privacy and seclusion with few neighbors nearby. Within a 20 minute drive guests will find a wide range of activities for all ages. Six Flags Great Escape is 25 minutes away as are several water parks, white water rafting, miniature golf courses, para sailing and various speed water sports on Lake George.

Outlet shopping is fantastic with a grouping of several outlet and factory store plazas in the 'Million Dollar Half Mile'.

Visitors interested in history might enjoy The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mt. Lake (about 45 minutes), Fort Ticonderoga or Fort William Henry.

The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls is a gem for art lovers. The Hyde House, it's architecture and the art collection housed within is absolutely a must see. Rembrandt, Picasso, Eakins and Ingres to name a few of the masters hanging at The Hyde. Rotating exhibitions have included Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe in recent years. Children's activities in the art studio are coordinated with museum exhibitions. Docent guided tours available.

In the Saratoga Springs area guests can enjoy thoroughbred racing and the Racino. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the NYC Ballet as well as The Freihofer Jazz Festival and rock concerts. Traditionally, people came to the Saratoga area for the health benefits of the mineral waters which can still be sampled at various well springs throughout the National Park and in town. Shopping in the charming Victorian Saratoga downtown with it's eclectic boutiques guests can find unusual and one of a kind items. Relax in Congress Park or take a ride on the antique carousel. Explore Saratoga Battlefield for some history. The National Car Museum is a visit to vehicles of the past. The National Museum of Dance is beautiful and interesting. Dining in Saratoga Springs is excellent. From fine dining to BBQ, Saratoga offers foodies a wide range of culinary experiences.

From the Glens Falls area to Saratoga golf courses abound.

In the winter ski areas include West Mt. which also has sliding, Gore and the trails at Killington, Vt.
