About Suzan fisk

Stephen was brought up in the Oneonta, NY area. He was employed for 20+ years by the D&H Railroad, then CP Rail. He is now a rail executive with Fingerlakes Rail and a rail consultant.

Suzan was raised in Northern NJ, taught art for 30 years in upstate NY. In retirement I now do volunteer work, manage our properties and am a docent at The Hyde Collection.

Suzan fisk purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Suzan fisk chose Lake Luzerne

I spent every summer here at Efner Lake. My parents purchased our cabin when I was a child. Our cabin is our summer home. Stephen & I purchased the new property as an investment.

What makes this cabin unique

This property offers a quiet, beautiful place to relax and enjoy Adirondacks. It's the best of both worlds: Varied activities within a 30 minute or less drive, but you return to the peace, the incredible air and water of the cabin site.

The cabin itself has been described by previous guests as 'Adirondack chic'. The knotty pine paneling decorated with original paintings is cozy. There is plenty of space, both inside and outside for gathering the family or group together or going your own way for a walk, a swim, a nap or whatever makes you relaxed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at The Little Camp! Everything we needed to cook a huge feast and such a comfortable place to enjoy cold weather and woods. Our two dogs LOVED their stay too!

Thank you!

Outstanding weekend

  • 5 of 5
Spent a long weekend at Little Camp and my only regret was it wasn't longer. I was able to bring my two dogs and they had so much fun with the large area to run and even though the weather and water was to cold for me the dogs love it! The screened in porch was a great added advantage for them to dry off in. Since I like to cook the kitchen was to die for. It had everything you could ever need. It is secluded from the road and plenty of privacy. There is no cell service and I loved that. A short drive into Corinth if u have forgotten anything. Dollar store, grocery store, hardware store, Stewart's and Cumberland Farms. The cabin was spotless and updated. Both bathrooms were equipped with everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Although I didn't have any kids with me, it would be perfect for a family with children. In addition to the screened in porch, there was another separate closed in porch/room for the kids with plenty of games and stuff to keep them occupied. After taking a long walk it was so relaxing coming back and sitting in front of the fire. I didn't need to do laundry, however, I wish I had - state of the art washer and dryer! Suzan was a sweetheart to deal with from my first contact with her to my goodbye. In case u haven't realized by now, I would highly recommend Little Camp. I look forward to going back. Thank you Suzan and Steven for sharing your place.

Excellent, even in the rain!

  • 5 of 5
We wanted a getaway and we got it at Little Camp. It rained most of the time we were there but the camp was a wonderful place to be in the rain. Suzan met us, showed us everything (and there was everything you could need), and called a few times to check up on us. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent. The camp was spotless, warm, and comforting. In the Adirondacks a "camp" is anything habitable. Little Camp is a cabin style home away from home. The road in is a bit bumpy, it's in the woods by a lake, and definitely not 'roughing it.'

Gem of the Adirondacks

  • 5 of 5
In writing this review I will try not to repeat what has already been written. First, I want you to know I hesitate to write this review for fear that it might make it harder for me to reserve a spot next year. My wife and I have rented many places in the Adirondack mountains over the years, nothing comes close in comparison to this Little Camp. It is pet friendly which is at the top of our checklist, because we never vacation without our dog. It is secluded. I saw no one at the beach or on the lake except the owners Suzan and Stephan. Great people, very friendly and accommodating. The house was as impeccable as the grounds surrounding it. My wife commented to me that she could not come up with one negative feature. Now, my favorite draw to this place, the FISHING! It was great! I fished morning, noon, and night, never came in empty handed. Small mouth bass, the largest 3.5 lbs. Pickerel, up to 20", I would catch 4 or 5 every time out. Being a private lake I think it is under-fished. We enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom..the jetted tub. It is so quiet there, it is hard to believe, we occasionally heard a truck on the road on the other side of the lake. If you are looking for a place to get away and relax, maybe wet a line, you would be hard pressed to find better. Thank you Suzan and Stephan for a vacation we will long remember. Looking forward to our next stay!

clean and charming

We recently stayed at "little camp". We had a wonderful time. The place was beautifully taken care of and equipped. The lake was clean and we had kayaks and a canoe at our disposal. I would highly recommend this property! The owners are very nice and available if needed for anything.

Absolutely wonderful. Stayed here with our 5 young children, and despite the rain on our first day, we had a wonderful time. Many thoughtful touches in the cabin (puzzles, colors, books) made for a great indoor day. The lake was perfect for kayaking and kids playing at the sandy beach.

'The Little Camp' is located on a small, private lake. There is no public access to the lake; only owners and guests. There are only 25 - 30 cabins on the entire lake. Here guests will enjoy privacy and seclusion with few neighbors nearby. Within a 20 minute drive guests will find a wide range of activities for all ages. Six Flags Great Escape is 25 minutes away as are several water parks, white water rafting, miniature golf courses, para sailing and various speed water sports on Lake George.

Outlet shopping is fantastic with a grouping of several outlet and factory store plazas in the 'Million Dollar Half Mile'.

Visitors interested in history might enjoy The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mt. Lake (about 45 minutes), Fort Ticonderoga or Fort William Henry.

The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls is a gem for art lovers. The Hyde House, it's architecture and the art collection housed within is absolutely a must see. Rembrandt, Picasso, Eakins and Ingres to name a few of the masters hanging at The Hyde. Rotating exhibitions have included Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe in recent years. Children's activities in the art studio are coordinated with museum exhibitions. Docent guided tours available.

In the Saratoga Springs area guests can enjoy thoroughbred racing and the Racino. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the NYC Ballet as well as The Freihofer Jazz Festival and rock concerts.
