Located just North of Hilo on the stunning Hamakua Coast in the tiny village of Wailea, you will embrace the rural privacy while being in a great location for exploring both the east and west sides of the island. Within an hour's drive in either direction there are surf and swimming spots, botanical gardens, zip line adventures, the power of flowing lava at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, magical driving tours, Hilo farmer's market and so much more! Hike to close by Kolekole park and dip in the water, or for less adventourouse guests, it is about a 5 minute drive.

This cottage is very clean and tastefully decorated. It is as perfect for a couple on a romantic trip, a family with kids or anybody just longing for privacy.
Wander the large fruit orchards, learn about the plant that chocolate is made from...watch the whales jump whilst you eat breakfast at the gazebo.
You will have access to a large recreational studio equipped with outdoor shower & jacuzzi, table tennis, games, yoga mat and space to work out.
This is shared with the nearby guests in the views. Kindly self-organise the timings, keep the area clean and be respectful to keep quiet late night.
For your cooking pleasure the kitchen at Ola Kai Cottage is fully stocked and open to the inside dining area so that you can prepare meals while you socialize.
It has a flat screen TV and DVD player and a few DVDs for your entertainment. The owners have also provided DISH satellite TV and free high speed internet. Our house book will give you lots of entertainment options away from the house as well.

To ensure excellent guest experiences and keep the beautiful vacation rentals on the Big Island, Hawaii up to standard we have a team working with us that may meet you when you stay with us. Originally Swedish-Japanese I wish to bring the Swedish reliability and the Japanese spirit of service to our guests.
