This is a huge one bedroom apartment that is full of light and will just delight and astonish you. It is 1,200 Sq. Here you are in the Marais with easy access to the Pompidou center, Place de la Republic, the rue de Bretagne market, the Picasso museum, and the children’s park at Square Casimir Perree.
Located on the 5th floor with elevator in a typical Haussmannian style building, this corner apartment is filled with light. Directly across is a huge salon with a full wall of large windows opening to the sky. The apartment has refinished wood floors, high ceilings, large windows, and is painted white… and augmented with white curtains. The whole effect is astonishingly bright and clear.
The main salon has a sitting area at one end with a double sofa-bed and chairs clustered in front of a marble fireplace (closed) and large mantle-place mirror. Along one wall there is also a single day-bed that can be used for a child or a small adult. The other end (closer to the kitchen) has a table with chairs and another marble fireplace (closed) and large mantle-place mirror. A sunny, airy fourth floor apartment with spectacular rooftop views, very conveniently located over an excellent bakery, and a metro station. The Musée des Arts et Métiers just across the street is an overlooked gem of a science museum, featuring Foucault's Pendulum; early motor vehicles, including the Vis à Vis car; a bat-winged flying machine; and an early brass calculator invented by the young Blaise Pascal. All major tourist locations are readily accessible, but you feel like you are living in a real neighborhood.
This elegant and spectacular apartment, near Centre-Georges Pompidou and a 10 minute walk to other museums and art galleries, offers an ideal location for any traveler wishing a perfect experience of Parisian life. With a complete range of services near by, an elevator, a beautiful view and lots of light, I highly recommend it. I go back to it always with the same pleasure and each time, I love it more.
We are just coming back from a lovely trip to Paris where we stayed in spacious and bright apartment. It has comfortable contemporary furnishing and a well equipped walk-in kitchen. There is a colorful food market nearby which also serves different types of cuisines at lunchtime. There are excellent restaurants just a block from the apartment, our favorite was the Argentinian Anahi and the Basque Au Bascou. There are several metro and bus lines in easy walking distance. The welcome service was very courteous and give us tips on where to go. I would return with pleasure and recommend it to friends.
This apartment is truly spectacular. The location in the northern part of marais is ideal. The apartment itself is huge by Parisian standards, and is very elegant with a beautiful view of its surrounds. I've stayed in Paris many times, but this is by far and away my favorite place so far. The hosts were very cordial, kind and organized. I can't wait to get back there again
