Beautiful villa, situated 20 min. from Malaga airport and 5 min. drive to the beach. A perfect location for sun- and beach lovers, a family vacation and a starting point for exploring the cultural riches of Andalusia with old cities like Granada, Ronda and Sevilla in driving distance. The Moorish style home is very comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished. Located in quiet urbanisation between Benalmadena Pueblo and Mijas Pueblo. Set above the coast with wonderful sea- and mountain views. Nice garden and private swimming pool, both well kept by private gardener. Two large terraces facing south (seaside) with complete privacy. Upper terrace with outdoor kitchen and in-built barbecue. Beaches are close for swimming, snorkeling, afternoon tapas, or dining. Numerous 18 hole golf courses in the surrounding area. The old villages of Benalmadena Pueblo and Costa have many good restaurants and bars, and there are plenty of activities for children and all the family.

The villa is located in a very quiet and green urbanisation. It has magnificent sea views at the coastline and the sea from Torremolinos to Fuengirola and beyond. At night you can have a romantic look at the small fishing boats with their tiny lamps, leaving and entering the harbour of Fuengirola. In winter, skiing is possible in the Sierra Nevada (2 h. drive). Marbella (20 min.) with its splendid boulevard, marina and top end shopping should not be missed.

Golf facilities: Many 18 holes golf courses within 30 min drive: e.g. Torrequebrada, Mijas Golf, La Cala, Alhaurin and Parador Malaga. If requested, golfing days or excursions to other places of interest can be arranged.

Shopping and Restaurants: Small (British) supermarket for daily commodities at walking distance. A larger supermarket (Carrefour) is situated close to the urbanisation (3 min car drive). Shopping and good restaurants in Benalmadena Pueblo (5 min), Fuengirola (10 min), Marbella (20 min) and Malaga (20 min). Excellent seafood in the chiringuitos (beach restaurants) along the boulevard of Fuengirola (10 min). Large and up-to-date department stores and top end shopping in the cities of Malaga and Marbella (20 min).

Entertainment and culture: For children: the villa's swimming pool, outdoor table tennis, the beach down at the urbanisation and the Tivoli water- and fun park at close distance (10 min). Cultural sight seeing in Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba at 1,5-2,5 hours driving distance. Malaga at 20 min. Day trips to Gibraltar and Africa (Ceuta). Bustling nightlife at Marbella (20 min.) and Benalmadena Costa, Torremolinos and Fuengirola (10 min drive). Excellent taxi facilities at very acceptable rates.

This was our second visit to the villa, with my parents and father-in-law. The villa was superb for everyone with most of the facilities on one level, a plus when the older people are unsteady on stairs.
Wonderful views over the Costa del Sol, quiet and peaceful for a relaxing holiday
The facilities in the villa are near perfect and Elma is very helpful with any information on the area. The equipment in the villa is everything that is required on holiday and the library is wonderful - I found a book I had been wanting to read for ages.
The shower in the second bathroom is over the bath which was a problem for the oldies, but we all used the shower in the master bathroom, separately of course!
The satellite system is tuned to a Dutch server with very few English language programmes, but who goes on holiday to watch Tv. However, it would have been nice to keep up with the English news etc. The second time we went we took English DVDs to watch.
The villa is close to the local supermarket, even though there is an uphill walk. Most days my wife and myself walked to the pueblo to buy the English paper and have a beer in the local taverna.
We spent most of the time around the villa but have travelled to Malaga, Benamadena Costa, Gib, Sevilla and Cordoba during our stays. The convenience to the motorway makes these trips very easy.
This has been a wonderful find and we are planning on going again during 2010

For future renters, just to avoid any misunderstandings, the following English language programmes can be received on our satellite TV system: BBC HD, BBC World, Sky News, Euronews, CNBC Europe, CNN International, Bloomberg, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Comedy Central, Hallmark Channel, all MTV Channels, Animal Planet, etc.
If you would like to watch your favorite movies it might indeed be a good idea to take your own DVD's.
