Enjoy local cable or select from our video library. Working holiday? You'll appreciate the full size desk, wifi included. Need an occasional print/scan/copy? We can help. The open plan living area is well over 30 feet from dining area to living room, so no need to feel cramped here!
Need anything? We are a quiet couple right upstairs, in a no pets, no kids, no smoking environment. We're also life-long locals, so we can point you in the right direction for anything from local attractions and events, to the best hiking or biking trails, to the best swimming hole, or...well, just ask!
I am a 42 year resident of beautiful Victoria, BC. I work in tourism and travel, and enjoy my own travels mostly in our winter season when things are slower here. I've stayed in every kind of place in my travels, and that has guided me in creating this vacation rental space for maximum comfort and utility.

I built this home in 1991 and probably will own it forever! I consider the location to be perfect - on a quiet residential street, yet close to downtown. Our neighbourhood has grown so much over the last few years - all the desired conveniences are at hand. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

This well-maintained, well-appointed, clean, spacious, main-floor, two-bedroom suite near the #14 bus route (Mary at Skinner) is a great choice for visitors to Victoria. Called "The Weekender", originally intended for brief-stay guests, it certainly meets that standard. We stayed for a month and, even then, it competently met our most important needs. It even comfortably accommodated our week-end guests. Its convenient proximity to Transit routes 14 (2 blocks) and 25 (6 min) allows access to most parts of town. It is a short walk to Spiral Café, Fry's Bakery, Save-on-foods, liquor store, pharmacy, convenience store. For longer stays, access to laundry (or even allowing use of the in-house one for a fee) as well as slightly improved kitchen equipment (bigger fry pan & saucepan, better cheese grater and a pair of scissors) would make in-house cooking easier. The owner will even provide transportation to and from the airport. We would recommend "The Weekender" as well as Martin, its competent and genial host, to any traveler to Victoria.
Clean and comfortable and in a location convenient to both the downtown and the waterfront. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed our stay in Victoria.
We parked our car the day we arrived and didn't drive again for over two days. To get around we walked, road bicycles and skateboarded everywhere we wanted to go, including to downtown Victoria. There's even a very nice skateboard park a short stroll away! The Weekender's accommodations are very spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable.Too bad we were gone so much of the time, because it's a great place to just hang out, too. There are A LOT of DVD movies and a large televison to watch them. We would highly recommend this place to all and definitely would stay here again!
Accommodation was ideal for our family's stay in Victoria. Our host was gracious and unobtrusive. Would definitely recommend staying at this house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at this property. The listing description was accurate. The property was very well kept. We felt like it's our home away from home. The property was fully furnished and we were able to cook breakfasts in as well as making lunches. The owners, Martin and Roxanne were very thoughtful in preparing the place prior to our arrival. He was in touch with us as soon as we got off the ferry. They assisted with directions to various points of interests, restaurants, etc.,,, We appreciated all their help. We will definitely refer friends & families when they visit Victoria.
There's not much I can add to the other positive reviews posted…neat, clean and tidy condo that was exactly as presented on the website. Quiet, super convenient location just a short walk across the bridge to downtown and ample, easy parking right out front. Very friendly, helpful and courteous owner.

Our secure residential neighbourhood has easy parking right outside your window. It's just a short drive, bike, walk, or bus (leaves every 8 minutes) to downtown. To the Corner Store - 1 block; to our local mall for groceries or spirits - 4 blocks. We are near The Galloping Goose, Victoria's dedicated bike/walking path. To the right, you can follow the inner harbour into town - to the left you will cross a scenic waterway 'The Gorge', via Selkirk Trestle for a nice cafe or pub, or follow 'The Goose' for miles, if you like. Close to home we've had three new bakeries arrive lately, and coffee shop options ranging from The Spiral Cafe (great local music) to Starbucks within a few minutes walk. Ready for a pint? Spinnakers Brew Pub and Restaraunt overlooking the harbour and downtown is just a pleasant stroll from here.
