Ubud Villa Rental Photos and Description
Look No Further! Your perfect 2BR villa in the rice fields, 13 mn walk to Ubud
Brand new Villa Serena is a stylish two bedroom luxury villa located in the rice fields along the famous Juwuk Manis rice field walk. Fine Balinese art and antiques are stunningly combined with 5 star Western amenities to create the perfect environment for your Bali experience. Villa Serena feels instantly like you are coming home!
Both spacious upstairs bedroom suites share a huge veranda with expansive views of the lush rice fields and come with new King size pillowtop mattresses, soft pillows, and luxurious linens. Mosquito netting, safety box and air conditioning are also there for your comfort. Each bathroom has cream terazzo, granite counters and Rainshower shower heads. The South/Master bedroom suite boasts a separate bouganvilla terrace outside the window. The semi outdoor bathroom, full of plants, has a large terrazo tub for a good soak after your rice field walk and a massage. The North bathroom suite also has Rainshower fixtures, terazzo and granite with lots of hot water.
Downstairs, you are surrounded by a fantastic collection of Balinese art and one-of-a-kind antiques. Two soft comfortable sofas and a reading chair with ottoman are perfect for a book or watching the 43' flat Plasma screen TV with satellite channels galore. There is also a half bath off the lounge. There are many books to read, videos to choose from, and a DVD/CD player with good volume speakers. Wifi is currently available throughout the villa, and we are already wired for lightning fast fibre optic cable that should be installed any time. You will find brochures on places to go, lots of menus, and a binder with insider suggestions for your trip. All of the villa's furniture is custom designed and handmade in Bali, and the lighting is good for reading in your two big chairs with ottomans. Perfect for dining al fresco is the indoor/outdoor table with seating for 6. Flowering orchids can be seen throughout the villa.
We designed Villa Serena to take advantage of the beautiful views and traditional outdoor living, but also for the ability to close doors, cool with air conditioning, and lock up. By the sparkling pool are several sunbeds and a large umbrella, as well as a beautiful wooden bale' pavilion with traditional ylang ylang roof for reading, breakfast, a massage, or contemplating nature. Mature landscaping and flowering plants are everywhere, blending perfectly with the lush green of the rice fields. The pool's Quan Yin water feature adds the bubbling sounds of running water to the already serene atmosphere.
Serena's kitchen has custom cabinets from Javanese teak, slab granite counters, stainless appliances and is fully equipped with everything you need and a lot you don't. On hand to cook for you is our lovely staff (there will be several), who will pamper you and tempt your palate with delicious Western or Balinese breakfast. You may have your choice of eggs any style, fruit, pancakes, fruit smoothie, juice, and coffee or tea. Our sweet staff will also be happy to make lunch or dinner, menu agreed to beforehand--you pay in advance for groceries, they will go to the market or store, and give you the change and your receipt. Staff arrives at 6:30-7:00 and leaves around 3, so she/they will leave the cooked food in the fridge and you can serve at your leisure. Our full time staff lives onsite and will open the villa in the morning as well as close the doors and curtains in the evening.
The villa also comes equipped with many thoughtful touches like shampoo, insect repellant, pool floaties, umbrellas, ponchos, flashlights, and magnifying makeup mirrors. You may also use our Bali cell phone for local calls during your stay, and it is pre-programmed with essential staff numbers in case you would like to be picked up in town on our motorbike shuttle.

About Kasey Petersen
My husband and I have been coming to Bali for over 25 years, and got married here in a Traditional Balinese Wedding Ceremony 18 years ago. We built our first Villa, Satori, 5 years ago and have loved it with a passion. We travel 6 months a year internationally, and yearn for Bali when we are not here. There is no place else on earth where you can be so submerged in culture and so welcomed, and eat so well. We live in Lake Tahoe (Northern California/Nevada)in the summer. We will be more than happy to assist with any travel needs or recommendations. Enjoy our special place!
Kasey Petersen purchased this villa in 2013
Why Kasey Petersen chose Ubud
For us, in Bali there was never a choice other than Ubud, with all its art and culture, galleries, and sensational restaurants. We fell deeply in love with the Ubud area, got involved in Rotary and working in the community, and finally found property very walkable to town and all its joys within 13 minutes. Villa Satori and our 4 new Satori villas are the culmination of our dream and we are thrilled to share it! Should you desire beaches, they are an easy day trip and 45 minutes away.
What makes this villa unique
The lush views took our breath away the moment we first set foot on the property. We knew immediately that this was our perfect place. Our first night staying in the villa was pure heaven--just the right amount of breeze--and unbelievable sunrises. You can roll out of bed and be at Yoga class in five minutes, or stay home in tranquility and do nothing peacefully. Convenient to all, close enough to walk to everything, but far enough away from crowds that you can just watch Balinese life go by. Be involved as much as you wish...Balinese people are very warm and welcoming and love to share their culture and ceremonies! Walking down our path gives you the true, authentic Bali feeling and there are smiles and friendly greetings from everyone. Dine out, have food delivered, or have our staff cook some delicious curries or special Bali dishes. You may never want to leave!
