Our vacation rental is an elegant 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit in our 6000 sf four unit building in which we also reside. The setting is beautiful and serene. The rooms are all large (1200 sf total in the unit). Each bedroom contains a new, queen size, bed with a top of the line Beauty Rest mattress. There is also a queen size, Ethan Allen, sofa bed with air mattress in the living room. One of the bedrooms is set up as a master with it's own bathroom with shower & tub. The other bathroom opens into a hallway & has a stall shower. There is ample storage & closets. There is a large, eat in kitchen with everything to prepare a full meal, except the food itself, and it opens onto the balcony. The front door opens onto the courtyard where you will find a BBQ, outside fireplace, and table & chairs. Since we rarely, if ever, have flies or mosquitoes, and the area is protected from most winds, you will be able to enjoy the courtyard. Now, when it comes to cocktail time, you may prefer to sit under the pavilion and watch the Koi Pond while chatting with passing golfers. We have a garage & ramp to accommodate 2 cars, as well as a coin op laundry on site.
Claudette and I have been married 28 years & it is a second marriage for both of us. (you can see that I robbed the cradle!) We have lived in Southern California so long we feel like natives, but she was born in Calgary, Canada and I in Southern Missouri. Before she retired, she was in real estate. I was an international consultant for a major educational materials company. Beyond my educational degrees, I am most flattered to have been appointed a genuine Kentucky Colonel.

Well, we love this place because we created it. We took something that was in the right spot, with sound structure & turned it into a Tuscan Villa with lots of character. You will love the convenience of this spot. Easy on and off the freeway. Easy to the beach. Easy to Downtown. Easy to restaurants. Easy to grocery stores. Easy to theme parks. Easy to casinos. Easy to the Metro Trains. Easy! Easy! Easy! And, since we live here, you can be assured of good order & peacefulness
when you come home from adventuring.
My husband and I stayed at this charming condo for the month of March. The owners were so warm, welcoming and accommodating. They greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around the property. A gift basket filled with an assortment of food items was left on the kitchen table, an unexpected and delectable surprise. The condo is one of four units. The owners live in one unit and are available to answer questions or fix problems that might arise - none ever did. Beyond the condo itself is a community area, a paved patio with barbecue, seating for gatherings and lush greenery that offers a cool respite on the hotter days. We enjoyed the patio with friends on several occasions. The property is not far from San Clemente Beach, and Ave Del Mar, with its wonderful restaurants and shops, is just a short drive away. The beach is on the southern end of a series of California's most gorgeous beaches. Love, love, love this area. We would definitely stay here again.

San Clemente is a touristy, laid back, Southern California beach community, and this unit fits right in. Unpretentious, comfortable and convenient, we found it to be a low-key way to relax and have fun. The unit is comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipped and centrally located. It has a secluded patio, and a Koi pond if you enjoy an occasional quiet time. San Clemente has lot of restaurants from reasonably high end to delightful "hole in the wall." The beach is beautiful, and a short walk (okay, maybe a mile) away. The San Clemente Pier is one of five major piers in Orange County and is a great place to stroll, take in the sights and/or contemplate Richard Nixon's presidency. (Remember the Western White House?)
The master bedroom bed is quite comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. If you simply must stay connected, the unit is wi-fi equipped. The owners live in the same building and were very solicitous of our well-being and comfort in addition to being personable and fun.
San Clemente is about equi-distant between San Diego and Los Angeles, but if you have the urge to sightsee, I recommend going south. LA is another world, and incompatible (I would say) with a leisurely stay in San Clemente! Also, if you happen to be retired military, the north entrance to Camp Pendleton is only about three miles south with a small exchange, commissary and gas station!
My first impression as we walked in was that it was very homey and welcoming. The furnishings were tasteful and the place was beautifully decorated, well equipped and maintained. The attractive courtyard was equipped with a BBQ and patio furniture. The master bedroom bed was one of the best I ever slept on. The property owners live onsite in the same building, very cordial and interested in our comfort. The San Clemente beach is a 5 minute drive and for the more active a pleasant walk. We would have no hesitation returning.
As a landlord of vacation rentals in Mexico I can say this was a first class retreat. I came for surgery in San Clemente and was pleasantly surprised to see that I had chosen the best place for me to recouperate. The owners were available if I needed them and the apartment was furnished with every available amenity I could want. Beautifully furnished and very relaxing.
We loved our stay in this beautifully furnished home near the beach. It was quiet, peaceful and had every possible thing we could ask for. Close to great restaurants, golf course and the beach. The owners were fabulous and so eager to please us. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys 5 star accomadations.
Our unique location (mid-point between Los Angeles and San Diego) along with 'The World's Best Climate' makes this the ideal vacation destination. We are called the 'California Riviera'. Other perhaps lesser known attractions are the San Diego Wild Animal Park & Zoo, USS Midway Museum, Temecula Wine Region, Laguna Beach Art Galleries/Pageants, e.a. Pageant of The Masters, and Play House, as well as several Gambling Casinos nearby. In short, if you want it, we have it all within a maximum 75 mile radius!
