Come away and Rest Inn Ouray, CO.
When our family first discovered Ouray, we booked plans for a return trip before we even left town. The spectacular San Juan Mountains are the ideal setting for hiking, biking, and rock climbing.
Many Ouray experiences captured our very soul: soaking in Hot Springs, hiking Box Canyon and the Perimeter Trail, or climbing the towering Cascade Falls.
Our kids enjoy hiking the open spaces, going down the two small water slides at the Ouray Hot Springs, or biking the State Park.
Like a gold prospector willing to sell everything to buy a claim, we found a way to buy this cabin home. This spacious, attractive, secluded cabin drew us in as the perfect place. We take great pleasure in sharing this cabin home with you, our friends whose names we know and those we will come to know.
We intend you find that the Rest Inn Ouray, CO offers space for the rest and refocusing you need with your friends and family. No, we are not a chain of inns—this cabin is our home. We liked the double meaning of “rest in Ouray.” Please enjoy our home and the surrounding forest and mountains of the Western Slope, leaving them better than when you arrived for our next guests. We hope that, like our family, you will return again and again to Rest Inn Ouray.
With love and thanks,
The Bryce Family

Location. Views. Plus, new furnishings, brand new beds, new appliances, new linens, and renovations to an already attractive home in the forest.
Quick access to Ouray and Ridgway. Forrest and Mountain views. Very spacious living and relaxing on decks, in two living rooms, and outside. Security System. Plenty of parking. Access to spacious public land.
Tucked into the quiet woods between Ouray and Ridgeway, this spacious house was exactly what our family (6 adults, 3 couples) was looking for in a vacation. We used the decks often, both for many meals and for watching the wildlife (hummingbirds, wild turkey, deer, and of course, chipmunks). The open floor plan on the main level was lovely, allowing for a great view of the outdoors whether we were in the kitchen cooking or playing games in the dining area. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs, choosing to cook for ourselves instead of eating out most meals. The master suite is gorgeous and we all fought over which couple would take it. The mattresses are high quality and we were all grateful for the comfort, a nice change from most rental places. We ventured into Ouray almost everyday, as it's only a 5-10 minute drive. The owners were wonderful in responding to any questions we had by email and phone, both before arriving and during our stay. When our family visits again, we won't hesitate choosing a place to stay. This is a gem!
We are a family of six comprised of my husband, me and our four teenage boys. We live in the very busy Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex and keep the hectic schedules that go along with living there. We found ourselves at the end of Summer in desperate need to escape the Texas heat, the rat race, and retreat to a place near and dear to our heart, to find some solitude that would recharge our batteries before school started back up. We have been visiting Ouray since our now almost 15 year old son was only 14 months old. We really love the people, the natural beauty, the abundant wildlife and the plethora of outdoor activities to participate in. We were so blessed to have found this gem of a property to achieve the goals we had set out to do on our family get away. The home was located in a great spot, decorated beautifully, well maintained, and stocked with everything but the food. We had very comfortable and restful sleeping, enjoyed sitting and watching the humming birds battle over the feeder on the patio, destroyed one another playing some board games (we are a bit competitive), and the hide and seek was epic! The house was just minutes away from some of our favorite hang-outs like, Mouse's, the Ouray Hot Springs, Back Street Bistro, O' Toys, Duckett's, Yankee Boy Basin, Box Canyon Falls, the Amphitheatre and many more (we pretty much adore the entire town and area). My main complaint when it is all said and done is that we could not stay longer :) So we are very much looking forward to our next trip up to this little piece of Heaven on Earth! Another note should be that the owner was very good at helping guide us through the reservation process which was a bit crazy since we made it VERY last minute. During our stay the owner also checked in with us to make sure all was going well. Very impressed with not only the property but the detailed customer care that was given also. I highly recommend anyone to stay at this property, UNLESS of course we can stay their FIRST! LOL!
What a great place to spend time away from the big city. The place is quiet, peaceful, and rejuvenating. Just a short drive or hike from many trails and/or scenic places to visit. There is shopping, golf, jeep tours, trails, etc. within minutes of this cabin. May I recommend the Hot Springs pool. What a great place to relax and have fun (5 minutes away). The cabin itself is a wonderful place furnished with the comforts of your own home. You can cook your own meals, sit and watch TV, gather to play games, view the millions of stars in the sky, etc. my family enjoyed cool mornings or evenings on the porch. My family looks forwards to a return trip.
We stayed 5 nights at this home around the 4th of July. It was our 2nd year in a row to visit the area. We had 6 adults and 4 children. The home was wonderful. Very well maintained. Very spacious, great floor plan. We spent a lot of time on the back deck and our kids had plenty of forest to roam and explore. The only negative was the distance to town was a little further than we preferred but it was a good trade-off for the views.
We spent a lovely week with our family at Rest Inn Ouray! The weather was perfect. The breathtaking scenery was delightful. The cabin was beautifully apppointed and fully furnished. It was comfortable and roomy, yet had a cozy feel. Perfectly situated between Ouray & Ridgeway, the location is great! We look forward to another time at Rest Inn Ouray!
We stayed in 566693 for 3 nights...incredible. Close to everything and nothing. Situated in the trees yet rode my bike into both Ouray and Ridgeway. Quiet, clean, rustic, modern and compete with everything you want and nothing you don't. The place is just about perfect and we've stayed all over the west in homes like this.
