We are a family run business. Mike takes care of the dirty and really hard work! Margie takes care of the booking process, cleaning, maintaining and updating the house. The kids help rake pine needles and contribute to the toy closet. Margie will be the one you most likely talk to. I always like to meet my guests, give a tour and answer any questions about the house, neighborhood, town and Rocky Mountain National Park.
I've lived in Estes Park for 32 years and enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of the area.
The Owner purchased this house in 2004
Twin Owls House is adjacent to our family home. Our dear friends used to own the house for 20 years before we bought it. We grew very sentimentally attached to this beautiful home. It is truly a historic Estes Park home that has been cared for so graciously. We take extra good care of this charmer and think it sits on one of the best lots in town. Since we live next door it is easy for us to maintain and to be available for our guests should they need anything.
IMMACULATE, QUIET,BRIGHT! This house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It's on a large lot with one of the biggest and oldest Ponderosa pine trees in the Estes Valley. There are gorgeous trees, a meadow and nice views of Lumpy Ridge. It's easy to enjoy the outdoors with the front deck, back patio, hammock and comfortable Amish furniture in the yard. There's always wildlife passing through and when indoors, you can see it all with the big picture windows.
This house turned out to be great for our multi family vacation. It's a lot bigger inside than the pictures show. Big pullout couch was a nice surprise. It's in a secluded, quiet spot in the trees but still a 10 to 15 minute walk to downtown or the grocery store! A big highlight were the 2 bull elk that were eating and sparring/playing out in the front yard one morning! Also saw turkeys and a fox (and a bobcat but in a different part of estes park). Owners are so helpful and nice. Couldn't have asked for a better place.
We've now vacationed in Estes Park 9 summers in a row, and we've stayed at Twin Owls House 7 times. (Didn't find it until our second trip, and waited too long to make the reservation one other time -- won't make that mistake again!) It's become our home away from home and is the perfect getaway -- a roomy, comfortable, clean, fully furnished and equipped home. Gorgeous lot with plenty of outdoor seating. Margie and family are wonderful hosts. Definitely recommend.
We did not want to leave the Twin Owls House. It was perfect for us. House is roomy with great views and several outdoor hangout spots. Very relaxing. History of the Twin Owls HHouse is very interesting. Margie was very kind and helpful. We absolutely love RMNP and explored many of the hiking trails and can't wait to revisit the Twin Owls House.
My husband, 9 month-old & I had the most refreshing week at the Twin Owls house in beautiful Estes Park! The house left nothing to be desired...comfortable beds & furniture, nice outdoor deck, clean kitchen, and Mike & Margie were very amenable hosts!
The fresh smell of pine trees in the sun, a short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, and a reasonable walk to town are just a few of the things we enjoyed about the location of the house...as well as the Elk, who visited regularly!
We've now visited the Twin Owls house in the summer, fall & winter and have never been disappointed! Can't say enough about this sweet lil spot in the Rocky Mountains!
Spent a week in Estes Park and took daily trips to RMNP. My family of 4 really enjoyed the privacy and the location of this house. It was very clean and offered the four of us the opportunity to spend time together while also offering each their own space for downtime. The location allows convenient access to RMNP as well as Estes Park shopping and dining. Cook your meals or venture out and enjoy the best Estes Park has to offer. It was a great break from the heat and humidity of Houston, Texas.
Looking forward to a return visit next year.

We enjoyed our stay at Twin Owls immensely. The owners are very personable and take very good care of their property. We were impressed with how clean it was. The house was a perfect place to stay with children. They could explore outside with much supervision and spent hours in toy closet that there was in the house. The adults enjoyed walking the neighborhood, sitting out in the yard and enjoying the view from the house. We ate most meals in and found the kitchen adequately furnished to do so easily. We also liked the location of the house.
