This bright, airy and luxurious self-catering apartment for four is in a fully renovated national registry palazzo within Lucca's historical city walls. The apartment, property of an artist, has four exposures over a tree-lined street and the palazzo's courtyard garden. Tasteful Italian contemporary and vintage modern furniture is set off by original artwork by Not Vital and Olivo Barbieri. The B&B Italia couches can seat 8 to 10 people and the dining table can be expanded to seat 8 to 10. The master bedroom has an in-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Both bathrooms are custom-fitted in marble, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment has a telephone and fax machine, and broadband internet access so one can keep up with business while vacationing. SKY satelite television and a speaker system for listening to music form an i-pod. Use of a parking space in private underground garage is included. Cooking and cleaning arranged by request. Notes: Children are not unwelcome, but the apartment is not particularly toddler friendly. It is on what Italians call the first floor, one floor (24 steps)up from the ground floor. The apartment shares a garden-for walking through, not for eating or playing in- with the rest of the palazzo. The apartment does not have central air-conditioning, but does have fans and a portable AC unit.
