Kitchen area - with all facilities: electric oven, micro-wave, dish-washer, fridge, freezer, dining table and chairs. Living room area: 2 single sofa beds (can be attached), plus a single pull-out bed and cable TV. Bedroom: bunk beds. Bathroom: with bath/shower, WC and washing machine. There is a large terrace, a small garden, playing area and a private beach. The shared heated swimming pool is available from Easter to end of September. Private car park. Wifi connection.

The apartment borders the salt water lake of Leucate. Its south west facing view allows guests to enjoy the magnificent sunsets on the lake from the terrace. Mount Canigou towers majestically in the back ground. Between November and May its summit is crowned with snow. Although bars, restaurants and shops are only 300 metres away, this apartment is a haven of tranquillity. There are two swimming pools for Cap Coudalere, one of which is heated. They are open from Easter weekend until early November and are only 200 meters from the apartment. Opposite the pools is the beach with a sailing and a windsurfing school. Tennis and other sporting facilities are nearby as well as a supervised play ground for children.

Additional information about rental rates

  • From September to June the days are flexible.
  • All prices are per week (Saturday to Saturday). Discount is offered for a 3 week period, except July & August.. Special prices for winter (December, January, February). Heating will be charged as per metre reading from October - April
    Cleaning: an optional service is offered at €32 per session if you cannot or do not want to clean the apartment on departure. Bed linen and towels can be provided for a 3 Euros/person charge. Direction and best itinerary on demand (free) from Paris or anywhere else in the country.
    Payment: A 30% deposit of total rental is requested on booking. A cheque for the remainder is payable on arrival. A €300 cheque (or cash) will be required on arrival as a guarantee against damage & returned on departure.

Le Barcares & Cap Coudalère: Le Barcares is a sea side resort situated 25 km from Perpignan (airport) in the beautiful Languedoc Roussillon area ( more than 325 days of sun), between a marine lake and the Mediterranean. Cap Coudalere with its private beach, is ideal for windsurfers. The apartments are in two and three storied residences which share three caretakers. Its restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques invite inhabitants to stroll and browse along its pedestrianised streets. Cap Coudalère offers a diverse range of sporting facilities for all the family. Its leisure complex offers everything for a successful holiday. The village square hosts a variety of music, dancing, markets, competitions for children and other events every evening. Spain is only 30 km away. There are also cultural events, lovely sites to visit, areas of historical interest, many walks and excursions to do.

Sporting facilities: The two swimming pools are surveyed by life guards and suitable for children. Swimming lessons and aqua gym, tennis courts, football, basketball and volley ball pitches and a pétanque ground are all available. Bicycles, motorbikes and boats are all available for hire. A surf and wind surfing school offers tuition and equipment hire. Ping pong tables are permanently in the park although residents must bring their own bats and balls. 500 metres from the Cap is a mini golf course.

The Beach & the Climate: 8km of sandy beach and deep blue sea are maintained to a high standard. The blue flag guaranteees a class A water quality flies all along the Barcares beach. Barcares enjoys a Mediterranean climate, characterised by a blue sky and hot summers. In the summer there is a cool breeze and it almost never rains. Between 7am and 8 am every morning there is a fish auction in the Barcares' port when the fishing boats return. A large range of fresh fish is available.
