Self-contained gite which has kept its ancient charm despite a recent refurbishment. The house, located in a small hamlet, is at the centre of a farm formerly dedicated to the raising and training of racehorses, and where some horses are left. A fenced grass patio will be a safe and welcoming place for children and pets. The garden, half kitchen garden, half planted with trees and located at the back of the gite, will enable you to relax in a very peaceful atmosphere.

Location: Perigord Vert < Dordogne < France

You will be 5km south of Villebois Lavalette, a lovely small town ideal to lunch under the shade of the picturesque 12-century halls, just at the bottom of the castle, the pride of local inhabitants. 25km north is the city of Angoulême, which is worth a visit. In January, it hosts the famous Angoulême International Comics Festival. Do not forget, among other things, to visit its comic book museum open all year long, and the city museum which boasts a splendid collection of African art. 40km northwest is Jarnac, a charming city by the Charente river, hometown of François Mitterrand, and a further 10km will lead you to Cognac and its distilleries. 30km east, you will reach the Périgord Vert through Brantôme. Go lazing around on the banks of the Dronne, dare yourself to do canoeing, or visit the monolith church. 50km southeast, Périgueux and its tourist alleyways will enchant you. Do not forget to shop for confit, foie gras and other local culinary delights.
