Gorgeous vacation rental cottage fronting Penticton Creek and the Kettle Valley Railway trail with no road traffic, this updated cottage is full of charm inside and out. Surrounded by spectacular gardens and mature organic fruit trees and shrubs (apricot, peach, walnut, plum, hazelnut, raspberry, blackberry), the cottage is a little piece of country in the city. Only minutes by foot to the city centre and prized farmers' market, as well as the many festival sites on spectacular Okanagan Lake. Each room of the 1300 sq. ft. house opens onto an outside patio or deck. Beautifully appointed with central heat/ air conditioning and a creek stone gas fireplace. This is a great place to relax and enjoy all Penticton has to offer. Let Penticton Creek cool you and lull you to sleep. Let the gentle cycling slope of the old Kettle Valley Railway bed transport you within minutes to Naramata Bench wine-country. Hot water on demand. TV, Wi-Fi. One queen bed in master bedroom, one double futon in bedroom two, and two extra cots.
Why worry--you're in Penticton!
We were drawn to the unparalleled beauty of the Southern Okanagan. For us it is all about the year-round outdoor recreational activities. From water sports to mountaineering, this part of BC has it all. And don't forget, of course, the world class wineries!
Arguably one of the best locations in Penticton with a country, private feel yet just minutes by foot to a vibrant downtown and Okanagan Lake. Equally beautiful Skaha Lake is minutes by bike to the south side of town. With the Trans-Canada Trail literally on the front porch, ride the bicycle trails to the lakes and the wine benches of Naramata. Circle the town lake to lake on the Channel bike path--or float down an inner-tube, a popular Penticton pastime!
Park the car and cycle to your heart's content.
The cottage is cute and cozy, with all amenities one may need on vacation including a great selection of DVD titles for every taste. The owners are very helpful. Penticton has to offer a couple of long sandy beaches on two lakes (one within a walking distance), scenic roads for avid cyclists, great hikes and wineries. I recommend it to everyone.
