3 bedroom, two bathroom custom home with large covered hot tub deck.

This luxury home is located on a fenced and gated property on a quiet dead end paved street. You will have completely private use of the property and the custom home has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. If you only need one or two bedroom please ask me for a special quote - all prices shown are for the full property but if you only want one or two bedrooms you get a discount and the other rooms will remain empty for your stay.

This modern home was custom built and includes the upstairs mountain view covered 18 foot hot tub deck, hardwood floors, granite counters and African Mahogany cabinets. There are Koehler fixtures throughout and the two tile/granite bathrooms both include showers with independently plumbed double shower heads and infinite on demand hot water.

Your choice of bedrooms includes the upstairs queen room with full bathroom and adjacent to the four person hot tub on the large upstairs covered deck. This room has a 32 inch high def tv and the queen bed has brand new bedding including new pillows, German cotton blanket and cotton comforter - but note no coverings on the windows. Downstairs is a king room (with a supreme comfort talay latex mattress that includes four inches of high density memory foam) with bamboo blinds and a room with two twin beds.

Your stay includes indoor and outdoor dining options, living room with 47 inch flatscreen high def tv and gourmet kitchen with extra high granite counters, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and everything you need to create culinary magic - except the food itself. The kitchen is open to the dining and living areas and in fact I designed the house with dinner party hosting in mind. The dining table will seat six.

The upstairs queen room includes a 32 inch HD flat screen television with satellite channels and yet another outdoor dining or smoking table.

Halemaumau is just over ten minutes away and is an effortless way to view a live volcano - it's next to the Jagger Volcano Museum and is a must-see part of the area. Plan a trip into the Volcanoes National Park after dark.

The upstairs honeymoon style floor features breathtaking views of two of the most magical mountains in the world: Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa which can be seen from the room or from the large hot tub on the private 18 foot second story deck! This deck is the true jewel of the home. The deck is covered and the four person (actually fits more than that!) Baja spa hot tub can be enjoyed rain or shine. A private hot tub is somewhat rare in Volcano - and the views are absolutely beyond compare. You just might agree that this is the best view of anywhere you could stay in Volcano! And according to my mom on the whole island :)

The house has wireless internet (3g style medium speed mifi). There is a landline phone and you can make unlimited free local calls and free calls to anywhere in the Hawaii, the U.S. and Canada.

The kitchen includes coffee maker - of course - and we will supply you with coffee, filters, creamer and sweeteners and tea. There is filtered drinking water and we provide a tropical fruit bowl from the seasonal offerings of our local farmers market. Stainless steel side by side fridge dispenses water and ice.

The house is just over 20 miles from the Hilo Airport and the amazing privacy is conveniently located on a paved dead end street (again with no immediate neighbors) just a minute or two from Highway 11. It is less than four minutes by car from the shops and restaurants of Volcano Village and from there it is just about a minute to the Volcano National Park which some years is literally the most popular destination in all of Hawaii. Just past the park entrance is the Volcano Golf and Country Club and the Volcano Winery which offers wine tastings every day until 5pm. Nearby can be found some of the most fabulous hikes in all the world. The house is at about 2800 feet and the weather is often cool and rainy. On a sunny day it is pure perfection here and it is almost always the perfect temperature to exercise.

I have lived on almost every island in Hawaii and have spent the last ten years working in real estate on the Big Island so I know these islands extremely well and as your vacation rental manager am happy to spend time helping you plan your itinerary or answering any questions you might have.

The house is non-smoking but you are welcome to smoke on the front porch (which has a lovely outdoor dining table) or the upstairs deck.

I custom built this home to live in personally and added every possible upgrade. The focal points of the home are the mountain view hot tub deck and the full kitchen designed for entertaining. I decided to turn the house into a vacation rental because at the current time I have two young children and the house is better laid out for a vacation than for family living (ie their toys took over the living room) and because while the neighborhood internet is fine for travel use there is no super high speed internet available which I need for my work.

What makes this house unique

I have tried to make the home as comfortable and user friendly as possible. I love to travel and have very high standards for my accommodations so I tried to create a space that I would love to stay in.

A perfect place to stay!!

Our family of five stayed here, and we couldn't have been happier! Krish, the owner, is very personable and helpful. The jacuzzi is a real treat, especially after hiking all day. The king bed was super comfortable. There are tons of trees around the house, so lots of privacy. We did hear the frogs at night, which I thought would bother me, but I became accustomed to the sound. The house is SO convenient for exploring Volcanoes National Park. We would definitely stay here again!

The neighborhood is super convenient and just a couple minutes from shops, restaurants, a Post Office and the Volcanoes National Park. Hilo is just 30 minutes down the hill. The Atkatsuka Orchid Garden is just about one minute down the highway toward Hilo. And the neighborhood is a nice one to walk through - one can go a mile up the hill or walk back toward the forest reserve and stay on the relatively flat lands. Although there are many more spectacular hikes in the Volcanoes National Park so you may not have time to walk around Royal Hawaiian Estates. You MUST SEE the live Volcano about ten minutes away at Halemaumau.
