I wish just like to say how delighted we were with our stay Lemoncello. It was a lovely place with everything we needed except some sunshine and a little less rain. The place was very clean and excellent value for the price we paid compared to other places we stayed in. David was very welcoming and it was nice to have a chat with him. The cottage ws very well equiped and couild not find any fault at all. So thank you David for providing us with such a great place to spend a couple of nights on our trip around the Big Island
If you are looking for a private, peaceful setting this is the place. Small and cozy for two. The volume of the Coqi frogs was startling but once you got used to it, it was really fun. This was perfectly located for exploring the Puna area. Easy access to the Volcano and warm spring pools. Found sone delicious diining options and was not swamped by tourists. The weather was perfect, only raining at night. We thouroughly enjoyed ourselves and started dreaming about owning our own little place like Lemoncello!
We can't say enough good things about our host David. He went out of his way (literally) to ensure we made it to the cottage. Once there, he made us feel right at home and offered great ideas for sight seeing adventures as well as travel books. The cottage was very clean and cozy and fit our needs perfectly. The location was perfect and we were able to see nearly all of the Island and major attractions in 5 days. It was our first, but not last, visit to the big Island. We have stayed at vacation rentals all over the world and we must say, David was the best host we've ever had. We had a fantastic time and will be back in the future!
First of all what a lovely man to rent from. David couldn't have been more sweet and kind. And his awesome dogs outdoors keep the property feeling even more safe and cozy. They will leave you alone, or come up to you sweetly if you want them too. I don't know what I liked more about about the place, the fact that is was homy away from home in such a unbelievable lush unspoiled area of the big island or off the main roads. The beautiful music from the wild life at night was so perfect and calming. It was just what the doctor ordered. It is a nice little private cottage with everything you need. Safe, secure and inviting. I wish we would have booked more than a couple of days. Next time will will for sure and we have already told others! Me and my 18 year old daughter highly recommend it. It is also close enough to explore the volcanos and many other things. Thank you David.
Great location for Exploring this part of the island. A short 20 minute drive to Pahoa town. About 30 minutes to the Kopoho tide pools for snorkeling. The cottage is very homey.
My hubby loved the recliner to watch football and relax after our adventures out during the day. The kitchen was great to cook a few meals. There is no internet or air conditioning. It was nice to be unplugged a few days. The ceiling fans and breezes made it comfy. We slept very well on the nice king size bed, falling asleep to the sounds of birds and frogs. We also loved Boo and Dottie, Davids' puppies, always there to greet us and have a bellie rub.
We liked this cottage a lot!
