Sharon was born and raised on a farm in the thumb of Michigan. After graduating form Michigan State University she took a job at Humboldt State University in Northern California. There she met Sam who was also a professor. They both love Northern Michigan and the Sand Lake area, and return each year to visit family and friends.
Sam and Sharon were looking for a quiet lake where our children and grandchildren could swim, kayak, and row. Little Island Lake is an ideal family lake. There's an actual little island in the lake surrounded by a sandbar which is perfect for children swimming and wading. 4th of July festivals are amazing and fireworks are set off of the little island. The cottage is winterized, clean, comfortable, and very roomy.
Quiet, comfortable, and very relaxing.
