The property offers all day sunshine, having 2 large terraces on the upper floor, ground floor terraces, lawned area, pool and barbecue. The salt treatment pool is soft on the skin, and has underwater lights. The ground floor consists of large lounge with satellite TV and DVD. Double doors lead to open plan dining room and kitchen. Patio doors lead to the covered terrace. The fully equipped kitchen has dishwasher, fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven and microwave. There is a washing machine in the separate laundry room. There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor adjacent to a shower room with WC. On the first floor is a double and a twin bedroom, with en-suite facilities, each having own terrace. There is an additional satellite TV in the main bedroom. The property benefits from air conditioning in most rooms. For winter lets, there is a large fan-assisted gas fire, together with warm air heating. The property is double glazed with insect screen on all doors and windows.

Nestling in the tranquil hills just above Santa Barbara de Nexe, the villa has spectacular panoramic views of the countryside right down to the coast. The evening sunsets are mesmerising.

Santa Barbara de Nexe is a village in a charming rural location, 20 minutes from the airport. Magnificent sandy beaches stretch along the whole of the coast, with the Villa looking down onto the beaches of Quinta da Lago and Vale da Lobo. There are numerous golf courses in the area. The city of Faro is 15 minutes drive, and leisure facilities and a superb marina at Vilamoura 20 minutes away. Tennis and crazy golf are both a short ride from the Villa. The traditional village is peaceful, yet has useful shops and good restaurants. Almancil and the market town of Loule are close by, with many shops, bars and restaurants.

Notes: The property is double glazed. There is a safe and burglar alarm system. The private kidney shaped salt water pool is 10 x 4 metres. There is an outdoor dining table with comfortable chairs on the covered terrace, with superb views of the sea and the surrounding hills. There is also a shaded terrace with a cooling water feature, with additional table and chairs, an ideal quiet reading area. There is outside lighting to all the terraces and barbecue area. Our managing agent visits regularly, and can be contacted in case of concerns or emergencies. Please note - Children are not accepted under the age of 5 years.

What a fantastic villa and a real credit to Mike and June. This villa is clearly a private home that is used for occasional rental - and it feels just like home. Some villas are clearly there as a source of income for the owners and are tired and lacking investment and maintenance - but not this one.

The house was immaculate from top to bottom. The facilities were of a high standard and very well thought out.

A car is needed to enjoy visits to neighboring towns, villages and resorts but 2 supermarkets and plenty of good restaurants are within walking distance.

I would strongly recommend the villa.

Beautiful villa

Villa Vida Nova is beautifully appointed and is the perfect villa for a quiet family holiday. The villa was spotlessly clean and had every amenity that you could wish for. The welcome pack was a lovely touch.

On the slightly negative side, whilst close to Faro, the villa felt a bit remote, so a car is essential, though the village of S. Barbara de Nexe has a supermarket and friendly restaurants.

Overall we had a very relaxing and peaceful holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Vida Nova.

The villa was as described and was better than I expected. An excellent package of instructions, local info and manual was provided by the owners Mike and June Jackson. The villa was spotless with beds made and clean towels and linen provided. The pool was cleaned once a week by the villa managers Kevin and Wendy who were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive, the villa was also cleaned in the middle of our fortnight stay so absolutely no complaints about the villa or service. The villa itself is situated about a kilometer from the supermarket and the town itself but I thought that Santa Barbara turned out perfect for us as being more or less in the centre of a 20 mile radius of anywhere we wanted to go. As a family group with my wife Bunny and our two daughters 19 & 20 plus 2 friends it was a perfect situation, the villa and pool area was big enough to accommodate everybody. And with the aid of a hire car which is essential really we could drop the youngster at the beach and oldies to the castles etc. al within 20 - 30 minute drive for us it all amounted to the perfect holiday. I would recommend the Villa Vida Nova, thank you Mike and June and their staff.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing time at Villa Vida Nova.
As others have described, this is a beautifully appointed and very well equipped villa - probably the best equipped we have stayed in over the years.
Mike and June Jackson could not have been more helpful in ensuring we enjoyed ourselves during the week with lots of information provided.
Would hope to return one day.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
