Anstruther has a delightful museum, The Scottish Fisheries Museum, recounting the East Neuk's fishing past. A ferry ride will take you to the bird watcher's paradise of the Isle of May or you can go fishing, sea kayaking or yachting along the coastline. National Trust properties include the wonderful Kellie Castle and its beautiful garden. And then there's the Secret Bunker, an eccentric warren of rooms 100 feet underground where Scotland would have been governed in the event of a nuclear war. The other fishing villages in the East Neuk - Elie, St Monan's, Pittenweem, Crail can all be accessed by walking along the Fife Coastal path. These are all delightful, each offering different cafes, to take a well-earned rest.
