Tin Roof Cottage offers an unbelievable opportunity to stay in the heart of Leiper's Fork and call this magical place home, even if it's for just a few days. It is less than a 1/2 mile stroll to the center of the village. The expansive front porch and fashionably designed old farm house will welcome you into its fold. The downstairs is laid out with the master bedroom that is furnished with a magnificent Cal-King bed, private bathroom with shower and walk in closet. The comfortable living area has a Queen size sleeper sofa. An old farm table offers a pleasurable dining area. The kitchen is equipped with everything anyone could want to cook great meals, a full size fridge, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, coffee maker, and anything else you may need. Situated in the kitchen is a wonderful cozy nook with oversized chairs to enjoy that morning cup of coffee. There is also a full size washer and dryer in the mud room. Upstairs offers a welcoming area appointed with 2 seating areas, 1 Queen Bed, 3 Twin Beds, a walk in closet and a full size bath. Tin Roof Cottage is located on a 1 acre lot that is fully fenced and situated so close to Leiper's you won't believe it.
We met at Gemology school in San Diego, CA and found that we not only fell in love but shared the same passions for life. We chose to be jewelers by trade but we are designers by passion. We settled down in the Santa Barbara area and began to raise our two boys Ozzy and Cash. Being on an eternal search for the perfect place to live we just had not found it yet. Eric, born and raised in Mississippi and I in Idaho, Eric often spoke of this magical town in Tennessee called Leiper's Fork that he had visited as a teenager. We finally came for vacation July 4th, 2014 and I promptly fell head over heals in love! We were sitting out front of Puckett's drinking Ne-Hi soda watching our boys faces light up with joy as they chased the fireflies. Leiper's Fork chose us in that moment. Without delay we purchased our home on Joseph, now the Tin Roof Cottage, returned to Santa Barbara and moved here 20 days later. We never looked back, we now reside just 1 mile away from the Cottage. We are currently raising our boys in this marvelous community and we welcome you with open hearts. Warmly, Eric, Samantha, Ozzy and Cash
Samantha purchased this cottage in 2013
We loved everything about this property! From the super comfortable beds to the charm and uniqueness of each room, we could not have been more pleased. Because of the unusual weather.....snow and ice....we didn't venture far from home, but that was what we were looking for any way, rest and relaxation. We were traveling with another couple, lifelong friends, and we were looking for a get-away long weekend that provided a time and comfortable place for visiting and enjoying time together. We were not disappointed and are already talking about going back again. We had plenty of room and privacy for each couple. We fell in love with the quaintness and friendliness of Leiper's Fork, especially Puckett's Grocery, where we ate for every meal and enjoyed the live music and local people. We had one of the friendliest waitresses ever, and the owner of the store was very helpful. The home was extremely clean, well-stocked, and possesses a charm and atmosphere hard to beat. The home's owners have created a welcomed haven with some of the most unique furnishings I've ever seen. My hat is off to them. They were very helpful and extremely easy to work with. We will definitely go back!!
Our family stayed here the week after Christmas and had a wonderful time. The owners have thought of every last detail, including an abundance of cleaning supplies and soaps. I think it may have been the best-stocked cottage we have ever had the pleasure of renting. You can walk to Lieper's Fork and enjoy the galleries and little shops, or take a picturesque drive into nearby Franklin or Nashville. The cottage was the perfect "base" for our trip and we enjoyed driving home each evening to the quiet warmth of our home at the Tin Roof Cottage. It would also be a great place to stay if you wanted to drive portions of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We absolutely loved this cottage!! Upon late arrival after a super fun evening at Puckett's open mic night, my family of four arrived to this warm, welcoming and fantastically furnished cottage. Everything we could possibly need or want was waiting for us. This charming cottage will be a great memory of our visit to Leiper's Fork and Nashville. We loved the vintage Victrola, the kids were amazed! There were so many things about this lovely cottage that made our vacation even more memorable and magical. We can't wait to return here to spend more time. We were really surprised at how quickly the drive is into downtown Nashville and Franklin. Thank you for your warm hospitality and thoughtful furnishings!
My adult family met for a weekend at the cottage and we could not have been more pleased with it. It is very comfortable but also brimming with visual delights. There are red retro appliances in the kitchen, unusual and really neat furnishings such as an old auto side board--my step-father said he had the same model as a younger man and wonderful textiles. The kitchen has everything you could want or need including a wine cooler. The beds were extremely comfortable. The 2 bathrooms spa-like. The yard is huge and there is seating outside including a porch swing. The master is downstairs which was great for us as my mom and step-dad are older. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. We honestly hated to leave. We will return!
We absolutely adored this expertly decorated home in such a great location. The pictures only suggested how welcomed we would feel upon our arrival, but the location was within walking distance from the quaint, adorable antiquing town of Leiper's Fork, and a short 20 minute drive to historic downtown Franklin. The sprawling kitchen was equipped with everything one might need to cook Thanksgiving dinner, and there were linens and towels and supplies for all. Bathrooms were beautifully updated and showers included large rain shower heads. The large backyard hosted a pickup game of football for several of the guests while others used beach cruiser bicycles to explore. Others enjoyed morning coffee while sitting on an adorably revamped bathtub-bench on the wraparound porch. It was a wonderful getaway and we will definitely be back. Thank you to Samantha and her family for the amazing accomodations.
We spent a few days at the red roof cottage and would highly recommend the property. The house was super comfortable and the décor was incredible. I was fortunate enough to spend an evening on the front porch swing during a rain storm. There is nothing quite like relaxing to the sound of rain on a tin roof.
We also enjoyed the close proximity to downtown. It was an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. The big cruiser bikes were also a nice touch. My family is already making plans to visit again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with my family!!!
If you're looking for something unique, you've come to the right place. From 200-year-old antiques to fine art to one-of-a-kind people, Leiper's Fork is a rare find for visitors and locals alike. This is a magical place that once visited you may not want to ever leave. Take a stroll through the village and you will marvel and the fantastic shops that are at your doorstep. Puckett's offers live music almost every night, don't forget that scoop of ice-cream on the hot summer day. The Natches trace is just a few miles down the road, calling for a lazy drive. Head up the trace to the famous Loveless Cafe for a meal you won't soon forget.
