Its an authentic 1800's coach house Inn located in a quiet, lake-side village. Open year-round. Right next to the conservation area and waterfalls. Just a 6-8 minutes walk to the sandy, beach. We can accommodated over 50 people at our Inn and 7 cottages.
Very quiet, and peaceful location. Sandy public beach and waterfalls. Pets considered. There is a small fee of $19 per night for pets for short stays.
Accommodates 15 people comfortably in the rooms and the beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Quiet and nice walk to beach (approx 5 blocks). However, the house itself needs a lot of work. Overall very "tired", dated and not very clean. Cigarette butts and some garbage in yard/front porch. Washer and drier did not work. Limited space in kitchen if the house is full. Limited hot water.
Within the village of Port Albert is the public beach, the Nine Mile River Dam and fish ladder, the general store, walking trails, and two camp grounds. Everything in Port Albert is within a short walk. Within minutes of Port Albert are events and attractions to suit everyones interests. Beaches, parks, biking and hiking trails, museums, theater, festivals, shopping, fishing, watersports, snowmobiling, hunting, cross-country skiing, horse-back riding, fairs, many historic sites, a casino, motor sports, golf coarses, art galleries, and much more!
