A COZY, 1 BR COTTAGE CENTRALLY LOCATED IN THE HEART OF MISSOULA W/ RIVER TRAIL

Missoula Cottage Rental Photos and Description

This cozy cottage is centrally located in the heart of Missoula.

We have additional reviews on another site, let me know if you'd like to see them.

-----

This cozy cottage is centrally located in the heart of Missoula, within walking distance to trails, the river, and the historic downtown area.

The cottage is also down the street from the Good Food Store, Missoula's version of Whole Foods, a great place to get groceries and to eat out. Nearby you'll find many of Missoula's best coffee shops and restaurants.

In addition to the bedroom, there is a kitchen, bathroom, and a mudroom/office which currently has a desk and shelves so you can have a place to work. You'll have access to a bicycle to use in the spring and summer. Please notify us if you'd like to have a bike available. In the summer there is a wonderful raspberry bush and apricot tree... yum!

Please contact me for special rates if you are staying for a month or close to a month or more.

Guest Access

-----

A unique setup for an affordable price. During the week, from 9-6, the kitchen and bathroom is shared space with a small business connected to the cottage. There are only 3 employees and when we are not using the kitchen or bathroom, we keep the door connecting the cottage and office closed for your privacy. After 6pm and on the weekends, the cottage is private. Our team is quiet and respectful of your privacy.

Guests have access to all rooms in the cottage, with the exception of the office which attaches to the cottage through the kitchen. There is a shelf in the cabinets reserved for the business, these are the only amenities not available to guests.

Please park on 3rd street in front of the house. Do not park in the driveway, this space is reserved for tenants of the other apartments.

The Neighborhood

-----

The proximity to downtown is wonderful, and the walk to get there is so lovely- along a river trail.

Other Things to Note

-----

Accommodates 2 guests, per guest extra if more than 2. Up to a maximum of 4 (four) people.

Pets are allowed upon approval, for a fee per pet for the duration of your stay.

**Bicycles available upon request. It's important you let us know ahead of time. The bikes are old cruisers, nothing fancy- we keep them maintained best we can, but they aren't perfect :)

It's All About Location

It's All About Location

Except for the parenthetical "(Sleeps 4)," this property is accurately described by the epithets "cozy," "cottage," and "centrally located." The cottage is perfect for a couple on a budget who want to experience the pleasures of Missoula without paying the exorbitant summer rates demanded by most places. It really is centrally located and one really can walk to all sorts of interesting places, including restaurants, food stores, and the river itself. It's clean and well-maintained, and the staff and owner do an excellent job of answering questions and anticipating your needs. And the "sharing" aspect of the rental, which did originally give me pause, is not a problem at all. I'd certainly recommend this cottage--what you see is what you get.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review Harold, and also for bringing to our attention that the descriptions says 4. We made sure to say that it sleeps 2, but max occupancy is 4, and we only do this just in case a couple with a child who has a small budget, for example, wanted to book the cottage- that way VRBO allows them to inquire, but I agree with you, the cottage is too small to fit more than 2 adults.

Affordable, convenient spot!

I'd highly recommend this rental for younger couples looking for an affordable place to stay in Missoula. The location is great (way better than staying at a chain hotel on the outskirts of the city!), and the kitchen is a huge perk. We were in Missoula for the marathon, and it was perfect for that! Very close to the race finish and to some great bakeries, coffee shops, and the rest downtown Missoula has to offer. If you're more interested in exploring Missoula and the surrounding area than posh amenities, it's a wonderful place to stay! It's also a great place to stay if you're passing through Missoula before a backpacking/camping trip (as we did post-race). One other perk: the good folks that run the place were super helpful and mellow (unlike some other VRBO rentals where the contract is twenty pages long!). Must be something in the air around Missoula :)

Missoula stay!

  • 4 of 5
The cottage was great for us to stay in. Close to our son and the University. The cottage has on street parking only which was fine. We shared the bathroom and kitchen during the day with 2 employees of the owner's business which is in front of the cottage which at first seemed weird but we only saw them 2 times. There is not really a sitting area just the small kitchen table but we did take 2 chairs out to the yard and enjoyed the mornings and evenings outside. I would stay there again. One suggestion would be another mirror in the bedroom as it was hard to get ready when sharing one mirror in the bathroom when my husband was shaving. We loved the location! Close to everything. Clean, large fridge, stove microwave! Made it easy to prepare our own meals and snacks. One other thing, if you don't know how to use a French press coffee make be prepared to go out for coffee! Nice place and clean! One step up into kitchen.
