A beautifully remodeled unit of a triplex (only three units on the property) in a nice, walk-able west Hawthorne neighborhood. Family friendly as well as nice for couples or business travel. Easily sleeps up to 3 adults (1 queen bed and 1 pull-out full sofa bed). The sofa bed can fit two children.

15 minutes to Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach
30 minutes to Downtown LA
45-50 minutes to Disneyland
A parking spot for one vehicle at the left end of the driveway (should feel comfortable going in reverse to get out of the driveway). Any seating area in the driveway and in the backyard is free to relax.
The neighborhood is nice and you will see people walking their dogs and running for exercise. We are the last multi-family unit before a predominant single family home area.
We are close to buses, the green line (train) is only 2 miles away. It is much easier to get around by car, but bikes are also an option. A taxi to/from the airport ranges from $10-20.
Other Things to Note
Overall it is a quiet place, but occasionally neighbors can make some noise coming and going (the bedroom window is near a driveway for a 4-plex).
For young children we do have a Graco (pack n play) crib and a high chair available.
I'm a children's book writer with many hobbies. My wonderful computer software engineer husband and I have five great kids. We are Mormon and love living in Los Angeles. I like to garden and do outdoor activities.

We have a great little complex that is home to my family and a another quiet family in the back. We are close to several L.A. attractions and great Southern California weather. Come visit us and you are sure to come back.

The condo was very clean and perfect for just my boyfriend & I. Although it does sleep more than just 2 people it was very spacious and accessible to every area of town. Lucy the owner was very helpful and I have booked to stay here again soon!

This place is a cozy little unit. The place has just about anything you might need for the kitchen. The bed is comfy and so were the sheets. There are tons of grocery options and restaurants nearby, but I would highly recommend having a vehicle. The owner was super sweet. I got locked out of the unit and she was able to let me in without having to wait outside. We would stay here again because it was a great value.
Plenty of room, clean, had all we needed for our 23 day stay! Convenient location and driveway parking was an added plus. Lucy was always prompt in responding and very accommodating. Next time we come we'll plan on visiting with you more, Lucy!
The apartment was great. Spacious and clean. All the comforts of home were available. The area was of no attraction but with a car you can get around fine. I really appreciated the complimentary Netflix, great to watch shows and movies. Owner was friendly but gave us our privacy. Had a great time and would stay again.
Lucy's place was a great home base for our family of 4's extended weekend in LA. It had all the amenities we needed and was much better than staying at a hotel, and a great price to boot! It was minutes from LAX and Manhattan Beach area, where we needed to be for a friends wedding on Saturday. The property was clean and well-maintained. Lucy was super fast and prompt in responding to our original inquiry and other questions we had leading up to our stay. She made it really easy and stress-free for us. As noted, Manhattan Beach is only minutes away. We had a great morning enjoying the beach, watching surfers and biking along the beach. Bike rentals were a plenty. My only negative comment would be the noise that could be heard was slightly louder than expected. The property is a connected to two other properties (one adjacent, and the other on the upper level). The air conditioner in the bedroom also allows some street noise to be heard in the room. We were there over Halloween, so that was most likely the reason for the louder street noise that night. Other than that, we had a great stay. Would stay again if in the area.
Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach are 4 miles away. Dockweiler beach has fire pits you can use and stay after sunset. Many museums and sites to see and do in Los Angeles. We are in a great spot to do it all. We are located in Hawthorne (home of The Beach Boys) and conviently located 1 mile off the 405 freeway.
