Las Quartos is a duplex-style efficiency that delivers many of Nosara Paradise Rentals amenities at a cost aimed at the budget traveler. Finished with a fresh paint job and a masterfully designed garden by Grevan Hernandez, Las Quartos is built to please.

Each unit comes with its own mini-refrigerator, blender, coffee maker, and microwave. Las Quartos is intended for weekend guests and those traveling light; therefore it does not feature a full kitchen. Located at the heart of the Nosara Paradise Rentals campus, guests staying at Las Quartos enjoy free WiFi, top quality linens and towels, nighttime security and a spot at the heart of the 'Pura Vida' vibe.
Clean, comfortable, convenient location in a drop-dead lush setting. What's not to like? Went with diverse mix of young adults, vegans and old man me. ALL had time of their lives. My buddy and I fished while the kids went out on four-wheelers to discover. Friendly locals directed them to a hidden waterfall while we caught 4 sails, 60lb. yellowfin and topped off with an estimated 350lb blue I got on 30-class stand up...on first trip! Ocean off Nosara looks like a NatGeo special. At one point I was able to see manta rays, spinner dolphins, spotted dolphins, turtles, tunas blowing up and 4 kinds of sea birds at the same time.
First rate captains, mates and staff. Modern, well maintained tackle as well. Locals incredibly friendly and helpful, especially if you at least make an attempt at Spanish and inquire about their culture. Never felt least bit unsafe, in fact, we stopped at a small town store on way from airport and one of our group left his phone and passport on the counter. While pulling out the owner chased us down to give back. Try that in South Florida!
Some recommendations: If you plan on driving less than a couple miles rent a golf cart from the office. Any further rent 4-wheelers from Monkey Rentals, they are easy to learn, a blast to drive and needed for crossing streams, washouts and unpaved roads. Avoid the organic grocery (overpriced and poor produce) and go next door or much better the Super Mercado a few clicks to the south. Awesome, helpful staff, best pineapple I ever ate and local products. Take a 6 or 8hr charter. You will never look at fishing the same. Catch a tuna. We kept one fish and ate tuna steaks, kabobs, tacos and sushi every night. The staff will happily supply a small grill. Eat breakfast and/or lunch at Beachdogs (corvina sandwich) and must, must eat lunch and/or dinner at Pacific Azul. Fresh local ridiculously cheap seafood prepared 4-star in the middle of nowhere! Cool husband, wife owners run the place. Fresh catch sandwiches on home made rustic bread, we ate so much Wahoo they ran out. Big ticket spurge was Garlic Lobster, 3 broiled halves for about $20 US! The best margaritas, no mixes only fresh juices. Oh, and go to the restaurant/bar at the top of Boca Nosara for sunset.
Craig, had awesome time man. See ya next year.
Nosara, Costa Rica is one of the oldest expatriate communities in the country, as well as a world-class fishing and surfing destination. It's population is a blend of local Ticos, long-term foreign residents, and a constant flow of tourists from all corners of the globe. Nosara Paradise Rentals has welcomed guests from Australia, the Far East, Russia, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, and all over the United States.
Surfing with Friends in Nosara
So much interest abroad in yoga, surfing, fishing, and ecotourism has turned Nosara into a crossroads of the world. Modern developments share fences with untouched ancient rainforests. The nightlife is full of interesting bars, carnivals, dances, fiestas, and rodeos (see picture) where the meeting of different cultures takes on a festival tone.
Costa Rica Rodeo
Unlike most coastal tourist towns Nosara lacks large-scale development directly on the beach as much of it consists of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. The official town center is located 6 km inland from the beach. Within 'Nosara town' is the market, pharmacy, post office, churches, school, police station, public library and Red Cross clinic. There is a Banco Popular branch located in the small commercial area near Playa Guiones.
Yoga Nosara is also the location of the world-famous Nosara Yoga Institute, which coincidentally is our backyard neighbor in Guiones Beach. Nosara Paradise Rentals has a secluded path straight to the treetop studio. In addition to the NYI, nearby facilities like Blue Sky and Yoga House have contributed to the area's reputation as a yoga destination.
The food is a blend of world styles, yet is truly 'set-off' by the pristine quality of the local foodstuffs...the cleanliness of the water, soil, and air contributes to food so flavorful and pure that words fail to describe the taste. This entire area is a 'Blue Zone' meaning no unnatural pesticides or industrial chemicals are permitted.
Breakfast at Rosies
Costa Ricans (affectionately called 'Ticos') are a warm, welcoming, industrious, friendly group of people who are very dedicated to their families. Virtually all of the population is Christian with a strong majority following the Catholic faith. A large segment of the population is bilingual.
Cumy of Nosara Transport
Nosara and the nearby towns (Esperanza, Pelada, Garza, Guiones) are 30 km off of the main paved highway, and the secluded nature of the land has created a lifestyle that centers around clean living and strong family values. Major crime is virtually non-existent and the local economy offers well-paying jobs in both the tourism industry and traditional crafts such as farming, woodcraft, and commerce. The citizens of Nosara are very accommodating to tourism and exhibit the 'Pura Vida!' spirit in their everyday lives.
Nosara Community Soccer Team
Nosara Paradise Rentals and FishingNosara are deeply embedded in the Nosara community. Our staff is 100% locally hired and we offer lots of great perks like English classes, full government benefits, and of course lots of 'company research' (laid-back fishing outings). We are proud to support the Nosara School by donating $1 from all apparel sales. Last but not least, FishingNosara is the principal sponsor of the Nosara community soccer team.
We hope that you can come visit us in Nosara soon. Pura Vida!
