COZY PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB CABIN - 3RD NIGHT FREE MIDWEEK!

Pine Mountain Club Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Enjoy an easy inexpensive weekend getaway in this rustic mountain cabin just an hour and a half from LA, halfway between the I-5 at the Grapevine and Santa Maria on the coast. Located on a cul-de-sac in Pine Mountain Club, a private community in the Los Padres National Forest. 35 minutes from Pyramid Lake and 45 minutes from Magic Mountain.

Available for rent any time. $135/night, 2 night minimum, 3 night minimum on holiday weekends. 3rd night free with rentals Monday through Thursday, except during holiday weeks. Prices may be slightly higher over the holidays.

My cabin is located on two lots, total 2/3 acre, so there's lots of open space outside. All knotty pine interior with lodge-like furnishings. Two large bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with full bed and a twin bed); 2 extra twin mattresses in walk-in closet for kids; portable crib and high chair; one bathroom; big stone fireplace; large deck overlooking wooded area with small creek. Large well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful stained glass window in living room with scene of local hills. Three TVs; DVD, VCR and laser disc players with over 200 movies, plus books, board games and puzzles. Dual-pane windows for comfort summer and winter. High speed wifi internet connection.

Rental includes access to beautiful mountain golf course; swimming pool in summer months; stable with trail rides; catch-and-release fishing in Fern Lake; tennis courts; clubhouse with video game room, restaurant, free wifi and lounge with live music on weekends. Village business area has restaurants, market, hardware store, gift shops, internet cafe plus seasonal festivals and fairs. Hiking, sledding and cross country skiing on Mount Pinos (8800') 25 minutes away. And just across the street from the cabin is a lovely wooded area with pathways leading to the village and rustic tables under the trees - an easy woodsy walk without getting in the car, especially nice for little kids.

In the winter I provide sleds, and you are welcome to use the extra boots and gloves for adults and kids that I keep at the cabin.

This is a HOUSEKEEPING CABIN - the rates are low because guests must provide their own sheets, towels and firewood and must clean the cabin in readiness for the next guests before leaving. Cleaning supplies are provided; cleaning service and/or linens can be provided at an additional cost. There is no smoking in the cabin. Refundable $200 cleaning/security deposit required to hold reservation; deposit will be returned in full once the cabin has been checked and found clean and undamaged. Payment can be made via cashier's check, personal check (if in time to clear before rental date) or Paypal. If paying by Paypal (using your credit card or bank link) add 3% to cover Paypal fee.

Roads are very well maintained by Pine Mountain Club but weather can change quickly in the mountains so be prepared with 4-wheel drive or chains in winter. There is now Verizon cell phone service in PMC. The cabin phone is blocked for outgoing long distance, so I provide a phone card to make long distance calls if you need it (best to bring your own card, too, just in case).

I’ve been recommending it to so many people! We loved it. Not sure when we’ll be able to go back up, but we’d definitely rent from you again if we have the opportunity. ;)

Thank you for offering your cabin to us!

I retired from Disney Studios in 2007. Now I work part-time as a paralegal and I love to travel - I do home exchanges all over the world. I grew up in upstate NY so I love coming to the mountains for the change of seasons and the snow.

Toni Devereaux purchased this cabin in 1985

My ex-husband and I bought this cabin in 1985. We wanted a retreat where he could golf and I could x-country ski and we could enjoy nature with our family. We had thought of looking in Big Bear, east of LA, but a friend told us about Pine Mountain Club which is so much closer and quieter. It's never crowded, even on holidays, and has a real small town feel, plus it's only 90 minutes from my home in Pasadena.

When I'm in my cabin I feel like I'm in another world. It's absolutely quiet on the cul-de-sac. You can't see other cabins from the back deck which looks out onto green space with birds, squirrels and the occasional deer. The interior is all knotty pine, even the ceilings, and there's a big stone fireplace. Starting right across from the cabin a neighbor has built a series of rock-lined paths through the woods, with little tables and seats made from tree stumps; it's just a 10 minute walk to the village through the 'enchanted forest.' I love to hike and x-country ski on Mt. Pinos, and enjoy the live music, free wifi, swimming and tennis at the clubhouse. For home entertainment, I have accumulated a library of over 200 movies on dvd, laser disc and tape. I enjoy sharing my cabin with guests and I use it myself as often as I can; a weekend at the cabin feels like a real vacation.

PEACEFUL CABIN, GREAT VALUE!

  • 5 of 5
This was a great getaway for me and my dogs! The cabin was clean and cozy and such a great value. I loved watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders on the deck. So peaceful. The coolest thing was the wonderful trails across from the cabin that were built by one of the residents. The dogs and I loved walking along them every morning. I was so relaxed and rejuvenated after that weekend!

WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION

  • 5 of 5
We really enjoyed our trip at the cabin. It is so cute and cozy! We loved the rustic vibe! The cabin had everything we needed and was well organized. I cooked breakfast in the kitchen and it was easy to find everything we needed. The electric heater warmed up the cabin quickly and once the cabin was warm it stayed comfortable. We saw lots of birds on the porch at the bird feeder, enjoyed watching movies at night and playing the board games at the cabin. The beds were comfortable (I am picky about beds). our 6 and 9 year old boys had a blast playing with the Lincoln Logs– building their own cabins.

It only took us about 1.5 to get there from Burbank, but we got lost on the way up–driving in the dark plus my navigator not paying attention to the road signs. The map that was provided was fantastic, just our error. Look for the big open dirt patch past the 2 town on the way up and turn right is all I have to say.

The people around town are so kind. A nice break from the hassles of the big city and the big city's rude people. We ate at two different restaurants. The food was fantastic at both places and very reasonable (Mexican and at the pub). The kids also enjoyed the recreation room and playing with the other kids from the area. My husband who golfs would have loved to use the golf course. He thought that it looked like a good challenging course. But the kids and I do not play golf so next time we will have to bring family or friends with us so he can go play! I think we will be back next year! We all had a great time.

CHARMING AND PEACEFUL RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
This is an absolutely charming cabin - rustic but comfortable, with unique character features to delight you around every corner. The location is very peaceful - sitting on the back deck with a steaming mug in your hands and listening the birds in the trees is sure to soothe any city-dwellers' weary soul! Although it is on a street with other homes, the cabin feels private and close to nature. Everything is well-kept and thoughtfully equipped, and the owner could not be more gracious and helpful in providing her guests with all the information & support they could need to enjoy their stay. I can't wait to return to this lovely retreat!

COZY CABIN IN THE WOODS

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I are trying to buy a cabin in PMC; meanwhile we've rented several. Toni's cabin is one of the most beautiful, quiet and comfortable. It's all wood, which we love, has gorgeous interesting wood flooring with lots of throw rugs, stone floors in the kitchen, a great fireplace, two beautiful decks, bird feeders, and anything you could possible need and more! I went up for two days by myself and am returning for three more with my husband. If you want peace and quiet, this is a great place. If you want to be entertained, there are plenty of selections in music, movies, games....The location is one of the best in PMC on a cul de sac right across from the Snowflake trails.
Enchanting!

Toni -

Pine Mt. is a feast for the senses! The stillness, the stars, the enchanting walk to the village, the colors in the cabin, the snap of the wood in your beautiful fireplace - memorable! My visit has inspired me to be more creative in my life back in the city.
