Kevin and Rachel met in Austin in 1985 and married in 1996. After adventures in Grapevine, Texas and Monterey, California, they moved to beautiful Old Town Georgetown with their two girls.
Rachel's dream to open a bed and breakfast is being realized in an unexpected way with the opening of the Sweet Lemon Inn. Part of the original plat of Georgetown, this historic property was built in 1918 and remained with the original family for more than 60 years. Following Horace and Carolyn Sweet (yes, Sweet!) purchase and restoration of the property in the 1980s, it became a commercial property in the 1990s. When Kevin and Rachel were introduced to this lovely property, they realized it was ideally situated for a Cafe and Inn. Stay tuned for more, as the Sweet Lemon Kitchen will open downstairs later this year, once Rachel finishes culinary school at Escoffier!
