It's very central and perfectly situated to be a base for your vacation or work destinations: Hollywood, Melrose, Miracle Mile museums, LACMA, Mid Wilshire Blvd museums, The Grove and Farmers Market, Walk of Fame, Hollywood Bowl, Culver City, Burbank, Universal Studios, UCLA, USC. It is only a 10 minute drive to Hollywood, downtown LA, LA Live, Staples Center, Disney Hall, Universal Citywalk, Dodger Stadium, and Griffith Park. Beaches are a quick 30 minute drive via freeways with the 101, 5, and 10 Fwy easily accessed.
GATED BACKYARD LIVING AREA:
LA is about living outdoors and this home offers a tranquil setting for dining and lounging. The lounge area includes a bar and charcoal grill area stocked with wood chips and briquettes, chandeliers, dramatic lighting, and a vegetable/rose garden with a peaceful fountain. There are outdoor heaters when the nights are chilly, and you can pull the sheer draperies surrounding the pergola if you want some privacy. Even LA locals covet this space!
The two bedrooms are on the second floor with the bathroom. Each bedroom is spacious and well appointed featuring a new queen organic cotton pillow top mattress, and luxurious high thread-count linens. Allergy free pillows in firm or extra firm, as well as feather pillows are provided.
The spacious living room features comfortable and stylish seating where you can enjoy a broad range of television features. There is a new 42” smart TV with internet capability including Netflix access, Pandora, Hulu, and much more.
The spacious dining room features a custom nickel-plated glass top table with very comfortable oval backed, upholstered chairs. Table seats 6.
The updated kitchen is designed for cooking with white crisp appliances, tile floors, and plenty of cabinet space. The refrigerator includes a refrigerator with ice-maker, gas cook top, gas oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There are also three different ways to make your coffee! A traditional American drip coffee maker, French press, Italian Moka pot, and a tea pot. A large selection of tea and hot chocolate are provided.
The full bathroom features all tile floors and walls with original architectural archway shower/tub enclosure and original and large mirrored vanity. Bathrooms are stocked with plush Egyptian cotton towels, soaps, and shampoos.
New, full sized, washer and dryer, are provided along with clothes iron, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets.
WIFI AND OFFICE:
Perfect for work oriented trips, the front bedroom includes a large L-shaped desk with gorgeous views, complete with computer and printer. Free wifi is available throughout the house.

This home is available for a minimum of 5 night rental, and is also available for longer term stays.
I have been working as an interior designer for 24 years and live next door. I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in 1998 and thought I was going to stay for 2 years, but I'm still here. I have worked briefly in set design and currently do a lot of interior design work for the entertainment industry. I love to travel, especially to Europe, and have been a client for many vacation rentals in the US and overseas.

I feel in love with the historic flavor of the duplex and was inspired by the original details. It is incredibly peaceful and the backyard living area is loved by all. I have had a lot of fun with the backyard lighting, fountain, and drapery lined pergola. I thought I wouldn't be living in this area for long, but I love it so much in this home I had to stay!
When I bought this duplex I could see the potential. I restored the original sconces in the Living Room myself, and worked to bring back the original polish and character throughout the place. Most striking of all the improvements is the back yard pergola and garden! The vegetable and rose garden is one of the most relaxing features. Feel free to help yourself to vegetables while in season - we are lucky to have 3 growing seasons in LA! The garden also includes lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, plum, and avocado trees.
I would definitely give this home 5 stars for its central location, comfort, charm and its gracious and accommodating owner. My husband and I felt so at home. Though not necessarily a destination neighborhood, the proximity to most of the things you would want to see in LA and convenience was unbeatable. Our kids attend USC and this was very convenient for us as well as close to the 10, Wilshire Boulevard, West Hollywood and the Grove. The home itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The wonderful backyard, with the garden, lanai and evening mood lighting, was charming, peaceful and our favorite place to hang out morning and evening. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, dinnerware, cooking utensils. We have rented a lot of homes and Deborah's home was the most well equipped that we have ever encountered. You could cook most anything and accommodate a larger group with how abundantly the kitchen is equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we found that having a large desk in one of the bedrooms was very convenient for us. Lots of closet space, too. There is off street parking for one car, and unlimited street parking a block away, which is very important in LA. We had a few unexpected happenings, and the owner went above and beyond to quickly take care them. Deborah was a very gracious host, and we would look forward to staying with her again.
My daughter stayed here a few months ago and raved about this charming rental. Even though I was in town for business I decided to stay here instead of a hotel. I'm so glad I did! It was centrally located which made getting to appointments easy and convenient.
I'm still thinking about that gorgeous patio with a view of the rose garden. What a treat to start my day there with a French Press coffee & end it back in the same place (but this time with a glass of wine). I loved the charm and comfort of the home as well as the owners hospitality. I can't wait to bring my husband back but this time for a holiday.
West Hollywood was our perfect location. We had friends to visit in the hills, a campus to tour in Westwood, beaches to see in from Santa Monica to Redondo, art museums to hang-out at, and a little boutique shopping (recommending Larchmont Village for strolling and affordability). There are delicious eateries surrounding the bungalow too, one we walked to on Pico. After busy days it was relaxing to come home to a nice bungalow with a dedicated parking space, a/c, things you stocked in the kitchen, a patio on which to lounge and talk about evening destinations.
my friends and i had a very enjoyable stay. the living room was homey and so we spent many hours there chatting. the outdoor area was beautiful for a nice bbq. the natural light coming into the bedrooms i loved, as well as how comfortable the beds were. deborah is also very nice and attentive and a pleasure to arrange things with.
A FABULOUS place for a single traveler or a group, tons of comfy sleeping surfaces including two beds and a sofa. The best part about this place is the outdoor area, IT IS GORGEOUS. Reminiscent of a swanky nightclub with tons of seating area next to a very charming garden. The location is great as you are in walking distance to the La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA, and can hop on a bus on Wilshire Blvd. into Beverly Hills. Very rare to be self-sufficient in transportation in LA, but with this house you get it!
