The owners of this townhouse are a husband and wife. The couple purchased the home in 2004 and spent the next two years performing a gut-renovation that modernized the home completely. The family goes away during the summer months of June through August (when they are making their New York City home available to you). The husband works in NYC and will be spending many days and nights during the summer in a spare apartment about 10 blocks away from the home, and he can come by to help with anything you may need. A trusted cleaning lady who has worked with the family for many years will attend to any cleaning needs you may have.
We purchased this historic landmark property for its extraordinary location, as well as the almost unique quality of privacy in New York City that it provides.
You will fall in love with views into private french-like gardens our the back of the townhouse, as you sit on the balcony off the master bedroom sipping coffee in the morning and perhaps wine in the evening.
