About Kurt or Tammy Hubschneider
Kurt and I have lived in Traverse City almost all our lives. Sharing our beautiful properties with others so they make lifetime memories mean alot to us. We have been in the vacation rental business since 2006. We purchased this property in January 2014. While new to us, the cottage resort was built in the 1930's and has families that have been visiting for 35 yrs. Being new, we have no reviews on this property yet. Check out our other listing vrbo#106441 to see our 90 5-star reviews on High Lake Hideaway. Our other properties are listings 558608 and 463317.

Why Kurt or Tammy Hubschneider chose Interlochen
We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it. It is absolutely beautiful. Originally built in the 1930's, it has a charm all it's own. With the 350 ft. of Duck Lake frontage and the 500 ft. of peaceful Mason Creek bordering the edge of the property, it is truly unique.
What makes this cottage unique
This cottage resort reminds you of times gone by, yet has all of today's comforts. 350 ft. of private frontage, water trampoline, raft, 2 docks, boats, swimming pool, basketball court, horseshoes, playground and recreation room. Just a great place to get away from it all.

Time Well Spent
“It’s hard to figure out where to start when you want to comment on a family reunion that took place at Brookside cottages. We needed a place that could accommodate a group of 30 + with different size family units; we needed to be able to gather together as a group and yet have privacy so we would be sure to remain a close and happy family at the end of our week together; we wanted a place that was close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City and all the area has to offer and yet we also wanted a place that was quiet and relaxing. We wanted a place to fish, participate in boating and water sports, swim, and also have the ability to be together indoors if the weather didn’t cooperate. We wanted accommodations that were clean, comfortable and had the cooking and eating utensils needed to prepare the meals we intended to share together.
Brookside Cottages has it all…we loved our time there and are still talking about how much fun we had and how perfect the property was for our gathering. It was great fun to stay at Brookside and a true pleasure to get to know Tammy and Kurt – they are delightful and take such pride in Brookside and work tirelessly to make sure guests are comfortable and feel welcome.
