This ocean view condo is a gorgeous, immaculately remodeled property from which you can enjoy a beautiful blue water ocean view.
It is located in the front of the complex & is an upper unit, so you have no one above you. This also allows you a gorgeous blue water ocean view!
The high ceilings provide a bright, airy feeling. We also own the unit directly below Pacific View. Renting both units at the same time makes it perfect when vacationing with friends or family and keeping them close by.
Easy access to a large heated Pool and Jacuzzi. Beach access to one of the best beaches in Southern California, lots of shops, and wonderful restaurants!

New renovations include all new windows, wood doors, new plantation shutters, bamboo floors, and recessed dimer lighting throughout. Both master suites have wonderful KING beds with quality bedding, TV/DVD.
One of the bedrooms has a blue water ocean view. High-speed internet with WIFI provided throughout the condo. There are two full bathrooms stocked with towels, shampoos, hairdryers, and toiletries. There is also a washer and dryer.
The blue water ocean view living room has leather seating with a TV/DVD. The dining area has a marble table that seats five. The state-of-the-art kitchen is fully equipped. There are two patios. One has a large propane grill for BBQ, and the other has a blue water ocean view!
This is an exquisite property located in a gorgeous resort location just steps from the beach access, large heated pool, jacuzzi, and nature trails!
After looking for four years, my wife and I, high school sweethearts, finally purchased our own spot at the beach for our five kids and us to enjoy.
A place at the ocean has always been a dream for us. We live full-time 45 miles inland from Dana Point and visit as often as we can. I (Alton) work in town most days and am very responsive by phone.
I have been in the construction industry for over 40 years, and so I took a couple months fully renovating our Strands Escape (vrbo.com/449957) myself right after acquisition, finishing in time to have our first Thanksgiving & Christmas 2012 at the beach.
Soon after, in early 2013, we acquired our second vacation rental, vrbo.com/195785, the Beach House. It is a downstairs ocean view unit and our only pet friendly unit.
Since I have been having so much fun providing long-lasting vacation memories and along the way establishing wonderful friendships with our guests, when my wife and I were approached by the owners to purchase the top-floor unit directly above our Beach House (vrbo.com/195785), we jumped at the chance.
This is now our Pacific View vacation rental. We have plans to add a few nice finishing touches to this already gorgeous unit in the near future.
We manage these properties 100% by ourselves. We have found the best cleaning crew and work with them hands on to make sure they don't miss a thing. Our goal is to leave our guests with the feeling that they don't know how they are going to be able to wait another year to return. We've already had one guest that only made it three months before returning, and they tell us they now consider our Strands Escape as their home away from home.
We've been so blessed by so many wonderful families in just our first year. We have two more returning families who have already scheduled their next family vacations with us, and we can't wait for their return.

Ocean View!! Front Location!! Bright & Airy
We love the weather, the smells, the colors, and that priceless feeling of feet in the sand. The quaint town of Dana Beach is a remarkable little gem of a city with a beautiful harbor that is a blissful stroll away through a nature preserve on top of the cliffs of the actual Dana Point. Eclectic Laguna Beach and its wonderful beaches are a couple minutes up the coast.
We love this area because it has a secluded feel to it. Everyone is very personable to us and respectful to the beach, and the beach never feels crowded.
The funicular right across the street is an added treat. It takes you one short walking ramp away from the sand. Unlike the heart of Laguna, there is ample parking. We are across the street from a gorgeous bluff overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The only thing between the bluff and the water are multimillion dollar homes.
There is a cement boardwalk along the ocean. We love to take walks. The big decision of the day is which walk/hike do we want to do today. Just an amazing piece of paradise.
We stayed here last year and totally loved it!! The location is perfect and right close to the beach, which by the way is the most awesome beach and easy to walk to! This condo is so clean and has everything you need, it is so clean and comfortable. Tons of beach stuff and stocked with all the condo extras you could want. Parking is a few steps away as well as the pool, the view is wonderful and the beds are very comfy. We stayed here at this condo and at this same owners other condo because it wasn't available for two weeks and we have already booked again for this year, all of this owners condos are top notch as well as the owners themselves, they will take care of every detail for you to make sure you have a wonderful stay!!

We were greeted with a generous welcome basket! The owner reponded promptly to any questions we had. The location was great! Close to beach, Dana Point Harbour, and the John Wayne airport.
Appreciated the owners list of recommended places to eat. They were all awesome!

Our family of 5 stayed and had a wonderful time. I agree with previous review that that the rental is a well taken care of and a pleasure to stay in. Tami and Alton's welcome is personal and authentic. They really want you to have a great time. Easy to do in comfortable, clean fully fitted 2 bedroom, in a community with pool access. This unit on second floor, but owners own lower as well. In a lovely place. Watching the sunset from your dining room. Numerous walking/hiking trails. park has elevator to beach for strollers and ice chests. Harbor nearby. Great location, great neighborhood. LA/SD area at your freeway near by. So fun. Hope to come back again very soon.
We stayed here with our family of 4 over Thanksgiving week. The condo is exactly as advertised, comfortable, and well-appointed. Communication with the owner was very friendly and personable. You can tell that the owner takes good personal care of the property and it was spotless and welcoming when we arrived.
We will definitely return to this property or another of this owner's properties for our next vacation!
This is the second time we rented a condo from this owner and it turned out to be the best choice (again). The condo was very clean and well-stocked when we arrived. The kitchen has everything one needs and then some more so that we could cook our own meals. There was plenty of space to roam around inside the condo and of course cable TV or high-speed Internet were available in each room. The furniture and especially the beds were in great shape and it all fit together to make you feel at home.
The condo has a great location and the ocean views from the condo were stunning. A short, ~2 minute walk to a park right outside the condo made for great sunset experiences, but you could also enjoy these from the condo itself. From the park you could see the beach and even Catalina Island in the distance (depending on weather of course). The beach itself is within about 5-10 minutes walking distance from the condo. We love the beach here as it was very clean. We even saw dolphins swim along the beach and seals coming close to the shore. The condo has beach chairs, beach mats, and even boogey boards. The condo is also closely located to the pool and hot tub and we enjoyed a lot of time taking a dip or hanging out in the hot tub.
Location, location, location: we love where the condo is located. Supermarkets are just a few minutes away (by car), but you can also easily walk to a supermarket if you're up for a 20 minute walk along the PCH (not a bad walk at all). The Dana Point Harbour is also in walking distance (20 minutes?). By car you're quickly on the Interstate and have access to San Diego going south or go north towards LA. We arrived through John Wayne Airport and it is very convenient drive down to Dana Point.
As mentioned this was the second time we rented a condo from this owner and I would make it my first choice to rent one of his condos again. The price is fair and you get significant value in return. We made memories that will last.
Very happy with this condo and so happy with the owner. Clean place, well stocked (even books for my bookworm daughter) The communication was the best....never had to wait for an answer if I had a question...he was on top of things! :) I forgot my phone charger in the condo and he sent it back to me immediately! Would definitely stay here again.

$500.00 refundable security deposit at the time of booking to secure dates. Full rental amount with applicable fees due 30 days before your arrival. There will be an additional cleaning fee of $150. You may pay VRBO with your credit card, or PayPal to me with applicable fees, or you can mail a check to me. My address is on the rental agreement.
