There is so much to do but take time to just enjoy the special place that is our home.
Sam and Pat are newly retired from their respective jobs and are gradually moving to Largo, Fl. from their residence in Virginia. Most of our family is already here so we will be happy to be with them. But part of the year we still spend in Virginia
Sam Lester purchased this house in 2013
When we found this house and it seemed to fulfill all our needs. We wanted to be close to the beach but not in a flood zone. We enjoy being active so walking around Taylor Park with our two dogs or bicycling the Pinellas Trail have encouraged our love of exercise. We've painted all the rooms in light, soft shades of coral, embracing the warm of Florida style. In landscaping the yards, we use Florida friendly plants that need a minimum of watering and fertilizer. It has been fun bring bring this house 'to life'.
This home is centrally located to all the activities and amenities the Gulf coast has to offer. Our home is well equipped for living and entertaining is the 'Florida style'. The home sleeps eight, is wheelchair accessible, has laundry facilities, and a beautiful exotic cactus garden as well. Swim, bike, walk, shop, go sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and then come home to your relaxing oasis.
Loved this home in Largo with a backyard where our pups could watch the squirrels all day. The home was clean and stocked with everything you would need for cooking as well as tons of papertowels and tp for our 5 weeks there. Sam was very responsive to any needs or concerns we had. I loved the fact that we could take walks around the neighborhood and loved the fact that we were so close to Taylor Park and to Publix as well as an 8 minute ride to Indian Rocks Beach. We have already made our reservation for next year and the pups miss the place already.....because we have over 4 feet of snow at home. :(
We were very happy with this choice of a short-term vacation home. We would use this home in a heart beat again. Every thing was very clean and neat. I spoke with the Sam, the owner on an issue that happened before we arrived at the house, and it was taken care of pronto. This was expected as Sam cares about this home. When we entered the home, and one of the first things I saw on the kitchen counter was a new
bottle of laundry detergent. That was a nice touch. Pat has her special touches in the home, which I appreciated. The kitchen was stocked with many items, again a nice touch.
We found the property as described: lots of room, very clean and very well stocked! The kitchen was stocked so well you might not have an excuse to eat out!
The master bedroom and bath was on one side of the house and the two other bedrooms and second bath were on the other side, a very nice set up.
The owner was quick to respond to questions and very helpful.
The neighborhood is very pleasant and quiet - a great location for taking a walk and a short drive to everything you might need. I did not give the review an "excellent" because I might have missed a flaw others might see or others might be looking for something that did not matter to me. Regardless the owners delivered and all was as described. We would certainly rent this house again. Have fun!
PS If you need a book to read, the Largo Public Library has a book store where they sell a wide range of books at really reasonable prices (as little as $1.00 each and 10 for a dollar)
