Nerja is a beautiful Spanish town with great restaurants and this superbly located apartment is 5 minutes walk to the centre of town and the same to the large range of open-air restaurants located at Burriana beach which makes the need for a car entirely optional. This second floor apartment looks out over the beautiful garden and swimming pool with an uninterrupted vista of the Mediterranean together with views to the surrounding coastline of mountains and cliffs. The apartment has recently been redecorated to a high standard with ceiling fans in the lounge and the 3 bedrooms. It is also our family holiday home and not just a rental property and we are continuing to upgrade even further.

Nerja has a spectacular setting among the foothills of the Almijara range and includes a number of lovely beaches and the most popular beach is Burriana which is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. Nerja itself retains a greater connection with its origins than many of the other resorts along the coast

  • Normally Saturday to Saturday bookings. Check-in time is normally 1600 and check-out normally 1000 but if you have special requirements then let me know. Just ask if you are considering a let of 4 weeks or more, particularly the winter months, and rates are available for repeat clients. So make contact to find out more.
    A 25% deposit is requested when making the reservation with the balance due 2 months prior to arrival.

Notes: Tuhillo is a traditional white Andalucian apartment block located near the Parador in a quiet residential area of the town with the great advantage of its proximity to restaurants and beaches on its doorstep. It is no more than a 10 minute walk to the Balcon de Europa. A hire car is not essential and the local bus service is very easy to use and incredibly cheap. Taxis are also plentiful and reasonably priced. The kitchen is fully equipped with, electric kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, blender. Additionally, there is an iron/ironing board, hair dryer, ceiling fans in the Living room and all 3 bedrooms.There are 2 sunbeds marked E2 in the garden beside the pool but any seats in the garden are for general use and are not assigned. Clients need to be able to use stair access..Tuhillo is a long established Community and we would ask visitors to respect the few guidelines that apply to the pool/garden areas which are there to ensure every ones enjoyment and safety

FAMILY ACTIVITIES: The beaches offer lots of activities for all the family and even in high season there are plenty of quiet coves to enjoy. You can hire mountain bikes, mopeds and also on offer is horse riding and diving tuition. Nearby there are tennis courts for rent for those with the energy. Andalucia has a very large range of activities suitable for children which are close enough to drive but also there are excursions from Nerja to the water slides at Velez Malaga, we suggest that you visit the Tourist Office in the centre of town or go online to obtain a full range of what is available.

AROUND NERJA: Only 6 kilometres away is the beautiful Moorish village of Frigliana and offers guided tours around this very hilly village. The nearby Nerja Caves (CUEVAS DE NERJA) are the 2nd most popular tourist attraction in Spain and are a must visit. The most popular tourist site in Spain is about 1hour 15 minutes away by car and is the city of Granada with the outstanding attraction of the Alhambra.A fairly easy drive with a wonderful attraction at the end and a fabulous range of restaurants particularly around the Cathedral.Of course the shops are also numerous and of a high quality. Also, try to think of Malaga as more than an airport and it is worth a visit for the shops, restaurants, Picasso Museum, Bullring and much more.The bus is around 6 euros return per person.

WHAT ABOUT GOLF: There are 3 courses in the area with the nearest about 15 minutes drive away.Just over an hours drive and you have a huge range of courses to choose from but I would warn you that some are not for the faint hearted!

Great place to stay in Nerja

This is our 3rd time to this apartment and definitely going back. The location is excellent, a very short walk to the centre of the town (which is on the flat) and the beach (which is quite a step walk back up, but worth it!!) There are restaurants and local supermarkets all on the doorstep plus a huge choice of bars/restaurants in the town itself, therefore no need to hire a car. This is a lovely quiet location as your balcony looks out straight across the Med, the veiws are really stunning.

The accommodation is excellent with 1 doulbe room with an en-suite, another double and a twin. There is also a shower room and toilet which we find especially usefull having 2 bathrooms. A great family choice with the use of the shared pool and gardens which never get too busy. Also the satelite television is handy with the children...!!

Towels and bedding are provided. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated in neutral colours.

The owner is very friendly and helpful to answer any queries you may have.

We have been to Nerja for the last 13 years but this is by far our favourite place to stay.
