Bend House Rental Photos and Description
House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Experience Central Oregon in style with a stay at this wonderful, completely remodeled, riverfront Bend vacation home. With a prime location as well as a comfortable and sleek interior, your Bend getaway will include walks to downtown to watch the ducks and geese at Drake Park, delicious brew pub meals, quiet evenings soaking in the hot tub, and bike rides to the Old Mill District. And in winter, you're only 30 minutes away from Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort.
Once you walk up the steps of the cute front porch and come inside, a delightfully cozy living room will greet you. Warm hardwood floors, colorful throw rugs, and an outdoorsy theme will make you feel right at home. There's a gas fireplace to warm up the room on chilly nights or to just give the room a romantic glow while the snow falls down outside. A flat screen TV is wall-mounted and ready for watching your DVDs or cable - just prepare some snacks and spend the night in for a living room movie festival. There is also high speed internet access if you need to stay connected.
When it is time for snacks or meals, head into the gourmet-inspired kitchen! Beautiful cabinetry, radiant heat tile floors, and all the major appliances you'd expect are right here. While there are certainly a number of Bend restaurants to choose from, you'll also be able to stay in and make a big pot of spicy chili or curry mussels for a satisfying vacation meal. Of course, you could also just heat up leftovers from the previous night's dinner out. A large dining table will seat six and is located right in the sunny kitchen.
Right off the kitchen, the first bedroom suite is an oasis of relaxation. There's a queen sized bed with luxurious bedding, a cedar-shingled closet, and a beautiful river view right off the sliding glass doors out to the private deck. Wake up to the sun reflecting off the river, get yourself a cup of coffee in the kitchen (no slippers needed with the warm tile floors!), and then head back to bed to enjoy the river view. This room also has an attached bathroom for added convenience.
The second master suite has a full bed, small kitchenette with a coffeemaker, sink, microwave, and it's own private deck access. A unique, recycled wood bed frame and comfortable, cozy bedding will provide a wonderful night's rest. The separation of space between the two bedroom areas makes this an ideal place for two couples to share. The second bathroom is a work of art with reclaimed wood, artisan cabinetry, intricate tile work, and a beautiful vessel sink.
There is an additional foam mattress pad you can bring out into the living room to sleep an additional two little ones (for a total occupancy of six), but the home is best equipped for four guests. Additional amenities include a washer and dryer, so you can always have clean clothes while on vacation.
Please note that a well behaved dog will be considered.
Right from the property, relax riverside at the end of the day and watch the paddle boarders, waterfowl, and other river enthusiasts cruise by. Make a fire in the outdoor fire pit for after dinner s'mores or just end a long day of hiking and exploring with a relaxing soak in your private hot tub. From here, you'll enjoy watching the geese land out front, the rafters float by, or take out one of the kayaks provided and paddle up the river yourself! And if you bring your bike, you can easily explore everywhere in town from this hidden gem.
Bend is famous for its breweries - Deschutes, Cascade, 10 Barrel, Boneyard, and Silver Moon to name just a few. Plan a day's outing to sample them on your own or follow the Bend Ale Trail's itinerary and fill out your passport for a prize. With downtown Bend just over a half a mile from the house, take a leisurely stroll to explore the galleries and shops along bustling Bond and Wall streets, duck in and out of book shops, or people watch outside at a sidewalk cafe.
In winter, the short drive to Mt. Bachelor is only 20 miles west. Ski and snowboard down the slopes, or rent some snowshoes and explore trails closer to home in the national forest lands. There are also opportunities for cross-country skiing as well. When the weather is nice, hike along the Deschutes River Trail, visit Smith Rock State Park (30 minutes north) to watch the rock climbers navigate the rocky, high desert terrain, or stay closer to home and ride a bike to the Old Mill District for some shopping or a show at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Central Oregon is truly a year-round destination, and this Bend vacation rental is a warm and cozy home-base for your getaway, whether you ski, snowshoe, hike, brewery hop, or just relax in your riverview hot tub.
