APARTMENT 'LA TERRAZZA': A DREAMY TERRACE ON FLORENCE DOWNTOWN

This was a beautiful apartment in a great location! We were there for nearly a week. The kitchen is well equiped & you can tell the bathroom must have been renovated recently as it was almost new. We had no problem sleeping with the windows open as they have screens that you can roll down to prevent bugs from coming in. As long as you don't mind the sound of the birds & the Church bells in the morning :-). It was actually very special on Sunday to get woken up by the many Church bells ringing one after the other.

The bed was OK. It could use some newer sheets & better pillows. The comforter was very comfortable though. The terrace is amazing!!! We used it every day. It has a table with several chairs & there's also 2 long chairs with cushions as seen on the picture. It is clean & well maintained with beautiful flowers. It even has a system of hoses that automatically waters the flowers. The views are amazing!!!

The location was perfect for us! It's on a pedestrian street. It's very safe even late at night. The small city buses are allowed on the street & 2 of them drive right in front so it's convenient if you want to use those. It's only 15-20 min walk to the Duomo. There was no WiFi but there's an internet place less than 2 min walk that only charged 5Euros for 3 hours. There's several ATMs nearby. There's plenty of great restaurants nearby. The restaurant accross the street is small but the service is excellent, the food is very good & they serve the best bread I've ever had in my life (I'm not exagerating)! In general I was not crazy about the bread I've had in Italy but this one was amazing!

As you walk out & go to the right, about 6-8 minutes walk, there's a grocery store on the right side of the street. I'm sorry I forgot the name & unless you look inside you don't really notice it but that is where the locals shop. Yogurts, water, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, salami, ... are much cheaper there.

We loved our stay in Florence & we would definitely rent here again if & when we return to Florence. I highly recommend it to anyone that doesn't mind going up some stairs. I would easily give this place 5* if they had WiFi & better beddings.
