TYPICAL ORIGINALTRULLO, WELL APPOINTED DETACHED HOUSE ON A LARGE LOT!

Cisternino Chateau / Country House Rental Photos and Description

Single house up to 5 persons, large private grounds, mature trees

This trullo dominates in a secluded location, a large garden plot in the outskirts (2,5 km in the place) and therefore enjoys a wide panorama of the Valle D'Itria. The plot has old olive trees, beautiful Natursteinmäuerchen, driveway and car parking spaces.

The spacious trullo is surrounded by practical exterior surfaces: terrace, porch and side a barbecue terrace, he is lovingly and carefully restored and well equipped: living room with 2 couches and gr FP, eat-in kitchen (fitted kitchen with wooden surface, granite work surface), 1 double room, 1 triple room and bathroom (with bath). Kitchen and living room have beautiful vaulted stone, and the windows are fitted with fly screens, central heating (gas), therefore available all year round.

The trulli zone, north of Taranto, is a green hill country, formerly Forest, today, oil, almond, fruit trees, an important wine-growing area and plenty of vegetables, fields, usually separated by Feldsteinmäuerchen, with its red-brown earth to a fascinating contrast.

"And that green glittering in the sun trees sea stretch the strangest houses that you can imagine, their apexes in the sky. This round also built houses that are trulli, dry stone, sometimes they are individually, sometimes several trulli are connected to a house complex .... Most of them are scattered across the landscape ... Only in Alberobello a closed village of trulli is built .... The other villages and small towns are all built in a different manner and are part of the charm Fullest and fantasy Richest what spontaneous architecture has produced in Italy. "They were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site Explained!

Originally were the trulli field huts, stables, warehouses and homes of the peasants before many have been abandoned to decay. In recent decades they have been discovered for tourism and increasingly elaborately restored. Today, they inspire us with their unconventional and practical, historically influenced design and its high level of comfort: because of its immensely thick walls as they are pleasant temperature in the transition period in the summer!

Inside, they form four square rooms with high vaulted ceilings while outside each room is topped by a cone, inside they are usually limed white as snow, show some nice Tuffmauerwerk.

We have selected for our guests some tourist Alberobello Trulli not quite, but close to the country town of Cisternino. This beautiful, winding old town with its archways and squares is very conveniently and centrally in Itria Valley with its many scattered Trulli:

In a few minutes you can reach the famous Alberobello (18 km), the wine Locorotondo (10 km), the white town of Ostuni (16 km) or the baroque town of Martina Franca (12 km). Even the Castellana Caves, which are considered the largest and most beautiful caves in Italy, are only about 34 km away.

However, the water fun is not neglected: the beautiful, long sandy beaches south of Torre Canne or the subsequent rocky north coast are easily accessible (12-15 km). Even the beautiful beaches of Santa Sabina, to the small. Ostuni is one place, located about 20 km away.

Cisternino is a grown place with good infrastructure, including tennis and horse riding; has impressed us a great, genuine and tasty, while quite affordable country cuisine and the many good local wines!
