Hi, we are Jean and John Davis, we bought this villa, new, in 2002, I guess we were smitten with the cute little Portuguese village. We often see the shepherd walking his sheep down the lane to graze, or the locals who live off the land and pick their olives in October. They grow their own oranges, pluck their chickens and bake their own bread, some still trot around on their donkeys, no jumping in the car to the local supermarket for a bottle of wine for them! (Yes, they grow the grapes too!) The Algarvians are friendly and have a relaxed attitude to visitors. Fishermen paint their boats in colours as bright as the spring flowers on the cliffs. Two donkey carts cause a ‘traffic jam’. At this pace of life even the most stressed businessman soon unwinds.

Why Jean chose Franqueira
Our house has two views, to the south you will see miles of the coast with the lights that romantically twinkle at night and to the north we have the Monchique mountains (the highest mountains in the algarve) At night our palm trees are lit making it a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy. Our villa is available all year round, the Algarve enjoys 300 days a year of sunshine even 70f in November. Our 10 x 5 mtr pool has heating if needed. So, Come & Enjoy. See our special rates for Sept - March.
What makes this villa unique
Our location is ideal for those who want to totally relax and yet be near enough for the beach just 15 mins away. It is ideally situated for all your needs. We are often being told: why do we need to go out when we have all this here to enjoy.
