Large Front Line Beach, comfortably sleeps 8 - Separate Childrens Pool

This luxury spacious townhouse villa is situated in a gated urbanization on the beach beside the Mar Azul & the deluxe Kempinski Hotel & a short walk to the Laguna Village Beach Complex. Located in Estepona, Costa del Sol, this a spacious three bedroom townhouse villa arranged on 3 levels and sleeps 8, ideal for a family or two families sharing. There is a fully equipped kitchen and open plan lounge/dining room leading directly onto a large sun terrace and garden. There are 3 large bedrooms all with separate & large en suite bathrooms. The master double bedroom has a sea view balcony/terrace. There is a large rooftop sun terrace also with sea views for all day sun and built in BBQ. The complex has its own access to the beach. There is a large on-site private swimming pool with separate kids pool and excellent restaurants are within a short walk. There is even a gym on site. It is within easy walking distance of most things including shops, restaurants, beach bars and the Palacio do Congresso Exhibition centre.

Accommodation Notes:: There is a full sized spare bed that can be used in any of the bedrooms and also a travel cot. Pre arrival clean & fresh bedding are provided free to guests. The air conditioning throughout the house also provides heating for winter stays, should it be needed, but there are also stand alone fans and heaters as alternatives. There is also a washing machine in the basement utility area. All bedroom windows have full blinds and mosquito nets fitted. I use a company to manage the property so should an issue arise during your stay you have 24/7 help & service.

General/ Family: There is a house folder full of useful information to help you get the most from your holiday, incl. directions and recommendations of places to visit and eat. We check the house before visitors arrive and can arrange things like flowers or champagne for a special occasion - just ask! The house is ideal for young children as it is front line beach beach. There is also a small rear garden giving children a secure space to play. The pool area has a good size pool and separate children's pool. Estepona town itself is very child friendly with many beach side play grounds, there are 3 water parks within 45 mins drive and a Safari Park within 5 minutes. The hotel beside the house offers a full range of watersports. There are two beach bars and more fashionable bars & restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the house. There is also a bus stop just outside the main gate with direct access into town or to Puerto Banus or Marbella. There is a large supermarket within a 5 minute drive or another within a 10minute walk.

Golf & Entertainment: Golf Information La Duquesa golf course (2km) is a superb Robert Trent Jones designed 18 hole championship course, enjoying panoramic views over the marina, surrounding coastline and hills. Estepona golf course is within 2km and both Sotogrande and Valderama are approximately 12km away. There are more than 10 other courses within a 30 minute drive of the house. Restaurants, shops, spa's and evening entertainment are all within walking distance from the house, incl. evening dancing and shows in the neighbouring hotels.

Nice restful break

The townhouse is situated in a lovely quiet area next to the sea. The resort was close enough to walk if you like to meander but as there is some building work nearby the access to the lovely beach front of Estapona was restricted. To overcome this we had to drive just 5 mins to be able to stroll safely with our 2 and 4 year olds. The Park area and restaurants by the beack were fabulous and we ate a really lovely meals at the port.

The House is lovely and well equiped and the roof top terrace was particularly lovely for evening and lunch time BBQ's. The nearby restaurant is currently up for sale so the nearest places to eat out were Kempinski or Laguna beach. Estepona is a lovely break from the rest of the coast and felt very spanish - all be it modern day spanish. Shopping was easy with lots of supermarkets and the town area for Estepona was lovely with lots of squares and restaurants.

The town house was very cool in the day and so we only needed AC on at night, and it is brilliantly equipped with shutters that really help black out - perfect for the 2 little ones.

Showers were as promised - strong and pleanty of hot water.

A very nice place to stay with the building work not intrusive from a noise perspective.

The pool area is fabulous although a few sun beds (rather than chairs) would have made it perfect - really nit picking now.

Kiddies pool was perfect for the 4 and 2 year olds to play safely and independantly which they loved.

Malaga was a lovely city and very spanish - if you head there get a picnic from the market - brilliant - and head for the sheltered gardens along the sea front to eat and let the kids run riot after on the park. Lots to still see in Malaga - when the Kids are older we will introduce them to the history and Picasso.

The owner provided lots of info before and there was lots of additional info in the apartment and a good book selection.
We saw the gym but stuck with running in the sun to keep fit - it was well equipped.

All in all the holiday let met our needs - with the access to Estepona restricted currently a car would be necessary.

Well maintained villa with everything you need

We stayed with our 3 year old and found the villa and surroundings to be really suitable for a family holiday.
The villa has some nice outside eating areas - the downstairs table is in shade most of the time which is helpful. Roof terrace great for a BBQ (look out for the roof terrace keys hanging on the upper part of the staircase - we couldn't find them for a few days!). Dishwasher and washing machine, and all the cooking equipment you need for basic meals. Aircon and wifi both worked well. Only issue for us with a small child was the marble/stone staircases, and lots of them! You might want to contact the owner to prearrange hire of stairgates if you have adventurous toddlers. We ended up barricading everything with chairs but I should have sorted out stairgates as it would have been less stressful!
The shared pool is very close and has a separate baby/toddler pool. The beach is just a couple of minutes walk away. Not the most beautiful beach in the world but sandy, great for paddling and sandcastles and very safe and quiet. For restaurants, daytrips and supermarkets its all possible within walking distance but we found it much easier to hop in the car for a couple of minutes to do everything as you are walking on fairly main roads otherwise which we preferred not to do with our toddler. With a car, everything is very easy, we had some lovely meals at Laguna Village and the Marina, and had a great day out to the nearby (less than 10 mins drive) safari park. I'd also recommend Pura Beach club at Laguna Village- an amazing pool, incredible food and service and a really cool atmosphere. They were lovely with our little one, and the only downside was it was hugely expensive! If you can afford to splash out it's a real treat and we went 3 times as we loved it so much (also fantastic people watching!). Wouldn't rate the local restaurant within Garden Beach complex itself though - we ate there the first night for convenience and it was fine just the once, but I wouldn't hurry back!

Really Enjoyed our stay

We were 2 families travelling together with children & the house really matched the description. We had lots of space in the house, everything was very comfortable & really clean. The direct access to the beach was so great to allow the children to come & go. The pool was cleaned every day and the general appearance of the complex was very well kept & safe. Location also suited us as we are more used to Marbella & this was more relaxed & more Spanish. We all loved Laguna Village but the walk down to it could be a bit nicer but it is short. Thank you for all the games & floats in the garage, the children enjoyed them. Yes overall a great holiday, see you maybe next summer...

Not as expected

We did not realize the third bedroom was in the basement behind the garage and laundry room. Lots of stairs - not good for little children or elderly persons. The pool had no furniture - you had to take your own back and forth. Lovely balconies with nice views. Living room furniture needs a bit of updating. A few minor issues got resolved while we were there, but the issue of bird droppings (lots) on the front steps didn't get resolved. We had to step into and over the droppings to get in the villa - very disturbing. Nice to be near the beach and a few restaurants and shops, otherwise we drove to town, but you could probably take the bus in. Good location to travel to Gibraltar and Morocco and also Granada etc.

Owner's Response: Glad you liked the location & views. As the house is entered from the 1st floor, the family room is below the first floor, it is found exactly as in the picture i.e. it is large spacious & has good light from the window. It has its own a/c unit & double bathroom. The house is only 10 meters from the pool & chairs & loungers are provided in the house to use. The bird nests will be removed in September as it is illegal to remove while nesting. I agree the house is not listed as being suitable for the elderly due to steps & stair gates are available for small children.

I am always nervous booking on the internet as so many places turn out not to be as described, this was NOT one of them. It was exactly as described but better. The personal service we got from the management company that is used by the owner was exceptional. Their office and key safe was just down the road which is a relief after a long day of travel. The house is large and the complex is quiet and secure. I really recommend it for two families travelling together who want their own space. The Pool restaurant was great as was Laguna Village, lived in both! Will be back next year. Dan & Family

Christmas in Estepona

Just back from Christmas in Garden Beach. Great way to spend Christmas, would really recommend it. Found the location perfect for walking to restaurants shops etc or a short distance by car to the port. Loved walking along the beach and to have your own entrance makes it so easy. The development is small and felt really safe to let our kids wander around as it is gated at both ends. Pool is a great size and BBQ area on the roof was used often.

Just to note the Google map nearly put us off but it is out of date as the building on the opposite side of where we were is finished and looks really nice.

With two families in the same house we really felt we had plenty of space and found everything we needed supplied (even high chairs and cot!). I recommend it to anyone as it is the best value for money villa I have stayed in yet, such a great location.

On the first floor there is a fully equipped built-in kitchen and open plan lounge/dining room. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms. The master double bedroom has a sea view balcony/ terrace. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom, both have large en-suite bathrooms and large built-in wardrobes. A large rooftop terrace with sea views and provides more space to sunbathe and dine as it has a built in BBQ. There is also a private garage. The complex has its own private access to the beach. There is an on-site good sized, very clean and well maintained private swimming pool with a restaurant overlooking the pool. There is also a garden restaurant beside Garden Beach with music and dancing many nights, lot's of space for kids to wander in a safe environment so you can have a relaxing meal without having to keep the kids amused, highly recommended!
