Apartment located in Varenna S. Giorgio Church Square Lake Como 30 METERS ONLY FROM THE LAKE. Varenna is a lovely picturesque medieval village wedget on a promontory in the centre of Lake Como exactly in front of Bellagio and Menaggio surrounded by the Italian Alps. CASA MARILENA HOUSE IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF VARENNA 150 METERS FROM THE FERRY DOCK AND 300 METERS FROM TRAIN STATION: from 7 to 30m shops, bars and restaurants, beach and walking-way which leads in 150 meters to the ferry dock where one can take boats to visit the other villages around the lake. INTERNET ACCESS Train station is only 300 meters far people really DO NOT NEED TO RENT A CAR. Villa Monastero and Cipressi gardens offer an unforgettable memory of yr. staying.

MARILENA HOUSE, Central apartment located in the heart of the historic center of Varenna Lake Como.

All the building belongs to the family owner living in the same property. The apartment offers the best services as everything is quite close, bars restaurants shops pharmacy from 7 to 30 meters. The lake is only 30 meters and the ferry dock to catch all the ferries to cross the lake is only 150 meters far, so a very short walk.The train station is only 300 meters.Pls note Varenna train station is the only train station of all lake Como towns ,where all the fast trains from and to milan stop every hour.The villa Cipressi and villa Monastero are only 70 meters far.

    Heating is the only extra cost on consumption bases.Account required on booking: balance to be paid in Italy on arrival upon keys-delivery.
    I never ask any security deposit as all the previous clients always respected the apartments.
    Preferably weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday, minimum stay of 3-4 nights only if possible. Prices include towels, bed linen, electricity, but not heating which is the only extra cost and the cheapest we have in Italy: Price heating 1 Euro/ each cubic meter. There is a metered gas in the apartment so clients only pay what they need.

Perfect location

I want to take a minute to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Marilena house : we loved its charm and wish we could have stayed longer. We've just returned home from our trip to Italy and can say it was the best week since the start of our trip,thanks for organizing our stay in Verenna. The apartment is located in the best central position of the town,spacious and clean : the owner asked how we were doing whenever we met her .We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful village, visiting the villas around the lake and walking in the mountains above it (we hiked up to the little church at Bologna and had amazing views of the lake from there).Marilena is a great host and we are sure to recommend this apartment to any of our friends traveling through Italy in the future.

Excellent location near restaurants & facilities

Marilena House was recommended by a work colleague and lived up to our expectations. The apartment was very comfortable in an oldie worldie style and immaculately clean. The bedroom overlooked the beautiful town square and church. Excellent restaurants were just a few minutes walk away and the ferry dock, with regular trips to all the main resorts, a very pleasant 10 minute stroll with lovely views from Lovers Walk. We did not hire a car and thoroughly enjoyed just hoping on and off ferries.
Marilena was there to welcome us on arrival and run through the facilities of the apartment and local information. We would definitely recommend this apartment and the beautiful town of Varenna to friends and family and hope to return for another trip again.

Lovely relaxing week at Marilena House

My husband and I have just spent a lovely holiday in Varenna based at Marilena house. This was our first trip to Lake Como and the holiday was everything we could have wanted and more.

Marilena House was a great place to stay for the week. The apartment was very conveniently located for easy access to the train station, local amenities, restaurants and within just minutes of the lake. The property was very clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. Marlilena was a wonderful host and provided a wealth of useful information that help made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Varenna was a very peaceful and quiet place to stay which is just what we looking for. It's many ferry links to other towns made it a great place to base ourselves whilst exploring Lake Como. Easy, direct train access to Milan meant that we could rely entirely on public transport which was great.

Thoroughly recommended.

Marilena's - Marilena House

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days in Varenna at Marilena's - Marilena House. It is difficult to say which was more enjoyable Marilena or Marilena's House - both are warm and wonderful. Marilena House is better discribed as a home - well furnished and provided with everything you can wish for and than some. Marilena House is located in the center of the little city and convenient to the train, ferry, and hiking. If you visit you will want to return. We do.

Idyllic in true sense of the word!

Varenna was a perfect location from which to enjoy the wonders and beauty of the Lago di Como district. Whilst not the biggest of the towns along the lake it is very well placed for visiting all towns and for making day trips into Switzerland. Marilena House was also perfect in comfort and location-right by the centre piazza of the town. The apartment was spacious, well equiped and convenient to all amenties in the town and from the windows we could watch the activities of the centre square and local restaurants. Marilena herself, was a kind and wonderful hostess, generous with her time and helpful with suggestions and local information.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
