One of the very best view seats in town, the Bay of Lake Michigan and the beach is directly in front!! Listen to the waves splashing to shore from your bedroom or sleep on the porch. Coffee on the beach in the morning is a great experience. The front porch is awesome; morning , noon, and night. There is a porch swing and comfy rockers to kick back in while watching the first rays of the morning sun come over the trees or the color show of the evening sunsets, you won’t want to go to bed! If your lucky you'll get to witness the Northern lights. We have actually fell asleep on the beach watching them.
This awsome Family home of five generations is directly across the beach and the beginning of the blacktop path that winds through the village park, past the toys structures, tennis courts, basketball courts and ends at the foot of the library walk bridge that crosses the river and the beginning of downtown Elk Rapids.
In town there is plenty of fun unique shops, an internet cafe, gourmet pizza, party store, cinema,toy store, antique stores, art galleries, ice cream, etc. all there, but still in keeping with the charm of a small village. SIREN HALL, an upscale seafood restaurant opened 2008.
Your walk can continue behind the stores, past the beautiful harbor, along the kids fishing pond, UNDER the road and over to the ELk Lake side of Elk Rapids. Where you can sit on the deck of River Walk Grill on Elk Lake or continue on to Pearl’s New Orleans Kitchen. There is also a grocery store, and ice cream , pizza, and more on the ELk Lake side of Elk Rapids.
You can also rent a pontoon boat and take a tour through Elk Lake and Torch River and end at the Giant sandbar on Torch Lake. Call the Marina 264-9500.
