This house was completely renovated in 2003 and is now is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. The house is south facing, and with a swimming pool on the terrace, it catches the sun from dusk till dawn. Sun loungers are provided and there is a childproof barrier for those with youngsters. There is also a solar-powered shower. With sleeping and dining for 8, the house is ideal for sharing or groups, and with the town centre at walking distance (20 minutes) and the French Riviera (Cannes, Nice, Antibes, Monaco, etc) all at less than an half an hour's drive, great for celebrations, anniversaries, etc. The large shaded patio which runs the length of the house is perfect for that afternoon snooze outdoors without worrying about being burnt in the sun. Lunch and dinner is a must on this terrace during the summer, where the view is quite stunning both in Summer and Winter.

Notes: Maid service available on demand.FOR THE ELDERLY OR INFIRM : the house has a steep hill leading up to it but has easy access to the pool and has a downstairs bedroom and bathroom (shower and normal sized bath) 15minutes walk down to the village and 20 minutes up, where one can find all the shops needed to buy your fresh breakfast every morning looking out over the mountain towards the bay. We do ask that people do not smoke in the house, there is plenty of space outside on the balcony or sitting on the sheltered terrace which gives vital shade during the hot summer months.

A lovely holiday home

A lovely place to stay as a family. The house was in good order on our arrival and the lady who greeted us was very friendly although her English was not good.

The facilities are good and the pool is bigger than it looks in the picture - probably about 10m long. The gate to the fully enclosed pool does close securely keeping little ones out. Great view from the terrace and the pool.

The owner was very helpful when we contacted her and all was as described.

One thing I would say is that for light sleepers, ear plugs would be useful as 3 of the 4 bedrooms are at one end of the house which is near a pond containing some frogs that croaked until about midnight when we stayed.

There is a steep driveway up to the villa and the road down to Vence is quite steep so wouldn't recommend walking to anyone who is a unsteady on their feet. We loved the walk though and found it ok with a pushchair (easier on the way down than on the way up!).

Vence is lovely. I lost my purse in the town and someone handed it into the police station with all the contents. Lovely market in the square and plenty of good natured activity from the restaurants and bars at night. We found the restaurants nicer in the old part of the town.

Overall, we really liked it and hope to return again soon.

A view to die for!

We have recently returned from our second holiday in this beautiful villa and would highly recommend it!

The property is wonderfully positioned just above Vence with breath-taking views and is ideal for families. The villa is spacious with 4 good sized rooms and plenty of bathrooms/WC's. It is all well presented and kept but at the same time is family friendly in its furnishings etc. The enclosed pool area is ideal for young children. We have always found the owner to be most pleasant to deal with and very accommodating.

We hope to return to Linnetts Wings again later this year and next!
