Local attractions: Finca La Morera is surrounded by stunning countryside where there is something for everyone. The medieval, Moorish city of Ronda is close by with its historic attractions, museums and galleries and an abundance of small bars and restaurants. The famous Ronda bullring is one of the oldest in Spain. It's museum charts the history of bullfighting and a few times during the year bullfights are still held. The historic city of Granada with the glorious Alhambra is an interesting day trip with a train service from Ronda taking about two hours. Jerez, famous for its sherry bodegas and Andalucian dancing horses, makes for a delightful excursion as do the magical cities of Seville and Cordoba.
The beaches of the Mediterrnean are approximately one hour ,and the Atlantic approximately two hours driving distance and a fast ferry ride will take you to the excitement of the souks of Tangier. Morocco. The Roman ruins of Ronda La Vieja and the famed Paleolithic caves are both very close at hand and well worth exploring
Activities: The beautiful Andalucian countryside surrounding Finca La Morera is perfect for exploring by bicycle. We have two mountain bikes foir guests to borrow and more can be hired in Ronda. Guy Hunter-Watts, whose books on walking in Spain are renowned, is close by and often available for advice or guided walks. Several tennis courts are available nearby; also canoeing, dinghy sailing, windsurfing 20 minutes away at Zahara. Hot air balloon rides are available locally for those keen to have a bird's eye view of the landscape, as is paragliding for the more intrepid. Some of the best golf courses in the world are less than an hour away with a new one opening soon in the Ronda area. The Ascari race track, a fifteen minute drive, is an exciting venue providing an opportunity for larger groups to race a variety of sports cars. Riding stables in our local village provide a number of horses for trekking in the Serrania de Ronda. Wind surfing at Tarifa and skiing in the Sierra Nevada are also possible.

The house has also featured in the English glossy magazine Country Homes & Interiors and the Spanish interiors magazine, Vivir en el Campo. Finca La Morera was also included by The Times in their recent feature on the 30 best large villas to rent in Europe Over the past few years we have received countless accolades from our guests and many have returned again and againto enjoy all that the house - and this exciting part of Andalucia in southern Spain - has to offer.
Golf:
There are many of the best golf courses in Europe situated here in Andalucia and the nearest to Finca La Morera and Ronda can be reached in approximately 45 minutes. Farther afield - about an hour and a quarter drive - can be found spectacular courses at Antequera and Jerez, many with rather lower fees than the many found on the coast. We have available at the villa golf clubs which guests are welcome to borrow during their stay
