Drepano Vacation Rental apartment: Drepano, Argolida

We had never been to Drepano before so did not know fully what to expect. Having travelled down from Athens and arriving late we found directions to get here were good. A final question to a local finished the trip easily right to the door.

Maria was on Holiday but her mother Christina, after whom the appartments are named, was waiting for us and we were soon setteld in with a freindly welcome. The whole experience of finding the place on the net to arriving could not have been easier and the property met the description; convenient for town's facilities, beach and sightseeing but still had that Greek rustick charm. Hospitality very good including some free and very fresh eggs from the hens!

Property clean and reasonably well equiped if a little dated especially in the waterworks - as is often the case for older Greek properties. Parking easy and hardly any steps to the floor we stayed on.

Christina recommended the best eating places and as we tried them all she was right! Ask her for yourself!

From the property it was easy to go to the local beach, Tolo, Nafplio, Iria and with a car further afield to Epidavros, Nemea, Argos, Mycenae and other archeological locations. Can be done without a car following arrival at Nafplio and taxi/local buses. Good sandy beach a short walk away and only downside was the rocks underwater to stub unwary toes! Some fabulous sunsets. Very quiete when we were there but I expect it would be busy in high season.

A real living Greek town on your doorstep but not a place for those needing entertained!
