Connections: Street Bern – Visp – Täsch. No car entrances to the city, only by train from Täsch 6 km. Public parking in Täsch. Train line Brig – Zermatt. Train station in the city. Brig 38 km. On arrival by airplane: Airport Genève-Cointrin (GVA), Zurich (ZRH), Basel (BSL).
During the summer: Tennis (2 outdoor courts), golf 9 hole in Täsch 6 km. Mini-golf. Horse-riding. Summer skiing. Paragliding. 400 km hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing. 80 km mountain bike routes, rental of bicycles & mountain bikes. Playground. In May & June is construction season in Zermatt & trucks may go through the village. During this time, it may be a little louder than normal in the car-free Zermatt.
