La Farigoulette is a beautiful, spacious country house, decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard, set in nearly 5000sqm of Olive groves and enchanting gardens. Sleeping up to12 people comfortably, the house is within 10-30 minutes from Grasse, Antibes, beaches, Cannes, Nice airport and nearest ski station. La Farigoulette is a private haven, superbly positioned on the Cote d'Azur comprising:

*6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. *Large pool, pool house and sun terraces, fruit trees, gas BBQ, alfresco dining.

Perched on a Southern hillside overlooking the Bois d'Opio, The house is ideally situated 20 mins from the coast. The property is close to Valbonne, Opio, Chateauneuf, all with local shops, bars, restaurants and lively weekly markets. Valbonne is a busy medieval town with a myriad of little streets around a large central square with many restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and a buzzing Friday market. Mougins, the gastronomic centre of the South of France, is a 15 min drive. Gourdon, high above, is well worth a visit for the fantastic view and scenery. Grasse, the perfume capital of the Cote d'Azur is close by and for the hustle and bustle of the coast, Cannes, Antibes, La Napoule, Juan les Pins and Theoule are all within a 30-40 min drive.

La Farigoulette, however, enjoys total privacy and yet is within easy reach of all the attractions of the Cote d'Azur. It may be hard to tear oneself away from the total relaxation of this lovely house....

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (Euro) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The property is let on a weekly basis and commences on a Saturday at 4pm. Arrivals should be between 4pm and 9pm. A surcharge will be charged for arrival after 9pm. The rental ends at 10am on the last day, when the property must be vacated. Please enquire for prices for Monaco Grand Prix week and Cannes Festivals. Prices include bed linen and bath towels (changed once a week). Price also includes cleaning each Saturday, baby travel cot and high chair, garden and pool maintenance. A housekeeper is available at an hourly rate payable locally.
    Between Oct 1st and April 1st heating is charged at €200/week. Also if heating is required outside these dates this will be charged.
  • During low season there may be a possibility of other start and finish dates. Please enquire. Extra cleaning, cooking and shopping can be arranged if required.
    Business stays for Cannes Conferences - please enquire. Various services and extras available to make your stay comfortable.

La Farigoulette...merveilleuse!

We (5canadian couples) stayed at this beautifully decorated mansion for one week. Everyone wished we had stayed longer. A most comfortable and spacious place.The exterior landscaping and furniture is so inviting, we wanted to stay around all day and laze about, but we had places to see and things to do on Côte d'Azur, besides, the "Méditerranée" was warmer than the beautifully landscaped pool.(loll). The kitchen was perfect for our group and everyone fell in love with the Miele coffee machine. We prepared and cooked every evening meal and managed to still stay friends through it all. We ate outside every evening and we loved the large gaz BBQ...an absolute must for north americans. The house is large enough to provide a group of 10 with all the privacy needed. The place is full of surprises, both inside and out, there is always a sculpture within eyesight. Decorated with taste. The owners are friendly, helpful, proactive in their advice and suggestions.
p.s. the entire place was clean and inviting and this includes the pool and the entertainng areas.Thank you so much Zillah.

Family get together at La Farigoulette

This was my first foray into villa renting, a special occasion to mark my retirement with a guest list of 4 children and spouses, 4 grand children, 2 brothers in law and a sister in law (not all for the whole 2 weeks). My wife thought it was a mad idea, with potential for all kinds of sibling conflict with her in the middle of it. She needn't have worried.

The entire 2 weeks in September were incident free and blissful, due in no small part to the facilities of La Farigoulette, the local amenities and the gorgeous Sepember weather. If La Farigoulette looks good in the brochures, the reality is even better. The owners, who were staying a few miles away, were unobtrusive but always available to help if called upon. The booking process and communication with Zillah was excellent throughout.

Thoroughly recommended.

Finally getting round to all the admin after the long summer holiday!!

We had a fabulous time at your beautiful house - we certainly had no complaints!! It was so well suited to our two large families as so much space for the children to spread themselves out without encroaching on adult space. We haven't thought yet of dates for next year but will certainly place La Farigoulette on the top of our list!

Wonderful House in Opio

Hi Zillah,

I just wanted to write to you to say thanks so much for your WONDERFUL house in Opio! IT had some many comfortable nooks and crannies to enjoy with friends or on your own for a few minutes of peace and quite... Just perfect. It really provided us with the most fabulous base to enjoy our holiday from, and we've come back well fed, a little sunned, and having enjoyed many of the local delicacies.
The house really is beautiful, so homely, and with everything that anyone could possibly want. We Loved it, and you must too!
I have to say, coming home to instant coffee in my flat has been rather a disappointment and I will need to look at upgrading!

I hope that the gardener and cleaner didn't have too much work on their hands when we left. They came promptly and were really lovely on the Saturday morning just as we were packing up and leaving in stages.

Unfortunately a couple of glasses broke on the hard tiles or work surface in the kitchen, and a handle came off a mug when someone picked it up, but I think apart from that, everything else remained intact.

THanks once again for the use of you fabulous house... It was so wonderful, I will be singing it's praises loudly, and may even come back if I am lucky enough to get the chance.

I hope you have had a great fe weeks sailing and are looking forward to getting 'home' soon.
