Torrevieja is situated just 40 minutes drive south of Alicante airport and 25 minutes drive from Murcia (San Javier) airport. This old town with its attractive marina and port has a warm welcoming ambiance and will surely appeal to those who look for a relaxing pace of life in the true Spanish style. Our properties are situated in 'Flamingo Hills', Playa Flamenca which is close to many sandy beaches and coves. We are also in close proximity to a choice of bars, restaurants and top class golf courses. All of these two bedroom villas are decorated in modern Mediterranean style, each consisting of a spacious lounge/dining room, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, private gardens, terraces and a front patio. One property is situated in front of the swimming pool and the others are just a few steps away. These properties are ideal for families. They are South facing which is great for winter sunshine. (We also have a further selection of 2 & 3 bedroom villas available).

Restaurants and shops: Within 5 minutes walking distance there are many restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The huge Playa Flamenca Saturday market is also within 15 minutes walking distance where you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, leather goods, clothes, perfect for buying gifts for your family and friends. There are also several supermarkets within 15 minutes walking distance. Torrevieja, the town centre, is only a 10 minute drive away. It is a great place for shopping, taking a walk along the promenade or just sitting in one of the many outside cafes sampling the local “tapas” and watching the world go by.

Places of interest : Situated just 28 miles south of Alicante airport and 20 miles north of Murcia airport, Torrevieja, which derives its name from the Old Tower, is still essentially a fishing community whose port houses one of Spains largest fishing fleets. Boat trips to the Island of Tabarca and short trips along the coast are available from the Marina. Torrevieja also has large salt lagoons with a wealth of bird life and is also one of the oldest and most important salt producing centres in Europe. This old town with its attractive marina and port has a warm welcoming ambiance and will surely appeal to those who look for a relaxing pace of life in the true Spanish style. Shops, markets, fun-fair, bars and restaurants are available in plenty and cater for all tastes and pockets. There is a daily Craft market open until late evening down by the Marina. The Aquopolis aqua park is a great day out for the whole family and is open from June - September. There is something for everyone and and for all ages.

The spacious living room has seating for 4, digital satellite TV (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky news, Euro Sports 1 & 2 movies and many more). The dining area has a table and seating for 4. The fully fitted kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. 10 Lovely Days

We have just spent a lovely 10 days at Jackie & Steves Property in Flamingo Hills 1.

There is plenty of open space with the patio at the front (where we used to have breakfast), and a court yard at the back.

There is also the large roof terrace, with the important bit for me, the internal stairs to the roof. This saves having to keep locking and unlocking the front door as you would with external stairs every time you go up and down.

The property has everything you need to make for a pleasant holiday, although a bonus would be a couple of beach chairs for use on the beach.

The propery is in the perfect location for bars, resturants and supermarkets.

We would certaintly stay again and reccomend to friends.

Review of Stay at Villa 1

My wife and I stayed at the villa for five nights in mid-June and had a fantastic few days. We were looking for a stress-free break from work and this villa delivered just that.

The villa is ideally situated for bars, restaurants and the main N332 road. The accommodation was very well appointed and clean and the facilities were great. Air conditioning was available (and we needed it – 90 degrees outside!) and there were three outside areas, including a rooftop solarium. Though handily located, the area was quiet enough to be peaceful. UK TV with all main channels and a lovely open kitchen were pluses. Only slight negative (for us) was no internet access, which would have been a useful facility.

There are several bars and restaurants within a 10-minute walk of the villa and the commercial centre at Playa Flamenca is also a short walk. We found two friendly British bars on Calle Niagara, just near the junction with Avenida Parana. The New Odd Couple was great and they run a good quiz night every Thursday. Next door is another British bar which is OK.

Going the other way out of the villa, turn left and across the road then straight down some steps towards Calle Limon and there are half a dozen or so places in a small complex. The Racin’ Toast is a great little bar upstairs run by a mad Scotsman called Alan. All sport is shown on at least three TVs and he does a great Scottish breakfast and Sunday lunch. Downstairs is the White Rose, a classy little restaurant which does great food. In the commercial centre, we ate at Sorrento’s, an Italian restaurant and had the best swordfish I think I’ve ever tasted.

Another bonus about the villa’s location is that there is a Carrefour supermarket 5 minutes by car in one direction and a Mercadona the same distance the other way. The huge Saturday market is a 10 minute walk and is really enjoyable and easier to navigate than the Friday market in Torrevieja. We also walked to Playa Flamenca beach which only took 15 to 20 minutes.

Steve & Jackie were very helpful and gave us lots of advice before we visited and a no hassle return of our deposit was much appreciated! Just remember to water the plants!

All told, this was a great villa and a lovely location. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic Villa in Playa Flamenca

We are just back from 2 great weeks staying in Jackie and Steve's fantastic spacious, clean and comfortable villa in Playa Flamenca. The property was just as it said on the can. In fact if anything the listing description did not do it full justice as the outside flowers and plants are really pretty and colourful and we particularly liked spending time in the courtyard area and on the rooftop solarium.
The weather was excellent for May ( high 20's to mid 30's ) and we were able to make the most of the fantastic coastline walks.
We did not feel that we needed to hire a car as there are some very nice bars and restaurants close by and we had some very good and reasonably priced meals at the Tropicana Bar at the CC Citrus.
We found that Jackie and Steve were very helpful right from our initial enquiry and we will definitely be recommending this property to relatives and friends.
