YOUR PRIVATE CHALET IN THE MOUNTAINS

Earlier this month we had the great pleasure of staying in this incredible chalet. It's safe to say that from the photos we had very high expectations and were unsure if the property would live up to these. We'll it certainly did!!! From the moment we walked through the door, you couldn't wipe the smiles from our faces. This property has everything you could ask for and more. Three spacious and stunning bedrooms, a wonderful open dining area and lounge, fully equipped kitchen, washing facilities, boardgames, dvds, cds, an open fireplace (which we used on several nights and absolutely looooved!) and even a welcome hamper on arrival.
All aspects of the property are extremely well maintained and the house was very clean, with fresh flowers on the tables and pinecones at the door for an added touch.
The owners have done a tremendous job of refurbishing the property and their attention to detail is impeccable. The artwork, colour schemes and furniture chosen all suit perfectly.
We must admit, because the house was so wonderful it was hard leaving it to pursue our activities but it was always a delight to come home to. The property has a real homely feel and is the perfect escape.
It is ideal for three couples, or even a family and we suggest cooking up a feast in the huge kitchen and enjoying that with beautiful wine before retreating to the open fireplace for dessert of swiss chocolate.
You mustn't forget to enjoy breakfast on one of the two balconies overlooking the Swiss Alps and waterfalls, the views are breathtaking and you fall asleep to the sound of the flowing water at night.
Lauterbrunnen has a lot of great outdoor activities and adventures on offer, which compliment this property perfectly.
We can highly recommend this property as one of the best we have stayed in to date all hope to get back there in the not too distant future.
Lastly, the owners of the property were delightful. Extremely welcoming, informative and always on hand if we needed anything. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house.

we have just returned from a magical weeks stay in this chalet , the owners are charming and most helpful when we arrived early , the chalet is spotless ...and to die for , the views are just incredible , the chalet has everything one could want in terms of ammenities , it's location is ideal - USE Swiss travel services - they are ALWAYS on time and are totally reliable, the bus stop is 50 yds away
this chalet is the gateway to scenic marvels and if you are lucky with the weather you will spend little time at the chalet ... but if you do you will enjoy , very fast wi-fi if you HAVE to take the gadgets :-)

Go to Wengen and if you can ....walk up to Wengeralp - gruelling , painful and I nearly died .twice but the kids pulled me along - it was worth it
Go to Murren via the cable to Grutschalp - WALK from Grutschalp - its flat and easy walking and the best scenery ever , from Murren stroll down the nice path to winderwald and enjoy this amazing village and then cable down to Lauterbrunnen valley

Go to ballenburg open air museum - magical and an easy trip by bus and rail ..and come back by boat
we hired a helicopter for a special experience and got one !! - expensive but awesome and we also used Alpinraft for TRUE wild water rafting - cold spectacular and rather terrifying

we will go back to this chalet next year - we took our kids and a boyfriend ages 22 20 21 and 18 and all had the best time ever - that says it all
1 downer - the PRICES !!!!!! Switzerland is SO expensive mainly due to poor exchange rate to £ - eating out is a painful experience to the pocket - there is a great co-op in town and a good butchers and bakery - use them and eat in as we did and it makes it easier

We have just come back from a week at Chalet Chaesubi and would happily recommend it. We were a party of five, and the main living/eating cooking area is ideally laid out and ideal for a party of that size or more. It was well and thoughtfully equipped with enough plates and cutlery to enable us just to use the dishwasher when it was full. We appreciated the personal touches like the real flowers, the guide books and the cook books. Lautenbrunnen itself has all we could need for self catering and, using the trains and lifts, we never used the car all week.
